Brookdale Charlotte East

The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The inside is always clean and homey. There's plenty for my mom to do and places to go. The gated community and someone always at the front desk makes sure to provide peace of mind for my mom's safety.

Mom loves it there. She has a lot of new friends and started a couple games that weren't being played. Every staff member is amazing and they go above and beyond. As far as value, I don't think we would find a better place than Brookdale East. Even if it cost more. Maintenance is great, food is great. We can't say enough good about Brookdale.

I feel confident with my aunt living there.

Brookdale East is in a nationally recognized bird sanctuary the grounds are lovely with walking area through the garden. Our parent has adjusted well food is delicious prepared restaurant style where the seniors can order as if they were out to a meal.The staff is very friendly and alot if them have been working there for years which speaks volumes. The residents are smiling and happy(that is what really touched us seeing them engaged in activities and having fun with the friends they have made.The price more economical than most and a gated community. We have been very pleased.

Ex 2 meals per day, one plus a snack on Sunday. Food..so-so. Value for $ good. What is comparable? Price was the main reason I chose this facility. I may be looking.

My grandfather has been living at Brookdale Charlotte East for a little over a year and a half and we have loved the care he's receiving. Every time we visit, both the residents and staff are very friendly and pleasant. My grandfather is an extremely picky eater, but is always satisfied with the food provided. His nurses and care providers (PT, OT, etc.) truly care for him and provide quality care. There are a variety of activities/entertainment options for the residents and the outside of the building is beautiful due to the wildlife sanctuary. We are so thankful for all of the people at Brookdale Charlotte East!

My experience at the beginning with [name removed] and [name removed] were great. My talking with them over the phone and by emailing. Once by Uncle got moved in it was ok. But everytime I came ( about 3 times a week or more ) the employees were almost always sitting down in the chairs near the elevator. I would ask them if they were at lunch. The answer would be "No". Sometimes they seemed like they didn't want to help my Uncle to things. When he got sick, I felt like they should have called me first before they called the medic. Because they took him to Mery hospital. And after he left there he had to readmitted to Atrium University Hospital for another two and half weeks. I had put on his forms that I filled out at Brookdale which hospitals to take him to. Thank you.

My loved one is currently a resident at Brookdale Charlotte East. My loved one could no longer care for himself and at Brookdale Charlotte East he is safe and has the care that he needs. He has made friends and they have their own table in the dinning room. He loves the outings that he can go on, especially out to eat and shop. When I was looking for a place for him we visited Brookdale and my husband turned to me and said "I can see him here". We looked at many places.

I've been here for 8 years at Brookdale. I love it and I love living near my son. I particularly love the staff and the residents. We have lots of activities which I really appreciate, it makes for a very nice time. Lots of different acts and performers as well as movies and other activities.

Several of my daughter's friends recommended your business and they accepted. You showed them through multiple locations and they found the best match for me. I am happily at home at Brookdale for almost l2 years. Thank you for your efforts to assist families in finding alternate homes for their older family members. Thank you. I was living in AZ at the time and my daughter and son in law looked at over 10 facilities and kept coming back to Brookdale East. They said they found BE to be filled with friendly residents and outstanding staff. I have come HOME!.

They're so friendly and welcoming. It has a homey feel. The staff care. It does look a bit tired although they are trying to do some up dates. If you want to feel at home I would recommend it. If you are looking for finer living I would look elsewhere. It was really the feel mom got from the residents and staff that sold us on Brookdale. She felt wanted and welcome. It was father away, less convenient and the amenities were not as nice but it just had what I stated before and that was the most important thing.

I moved in to Charlotte East [Date Removed] and have been extremely happy. The staff is great! There are plenty of activities on site and off site. I enjoy the independence this community offers me.

They are very kind and friendly. They also have excellent response time to the emergency pull cord and all staff from the kitchen to the front desk are always helpful in assisting residents. My mother-in-law enjoyed the activities, especially the ones with music and dancing. However, the cons really outweigh the pros right now due to the current bedbug infestation, it really could use an update, and we also found cockroaches in my mother in laws apartment. With my fear/disgust with those 2 types of bugs I would demolish the place and start over. It was a nightmare even though management is doing their best to take e care of the infestation. Every time anyone visited her apartment they had to strip down outside, have their shoes steamed, and we washed and dried all clothes on the highest temperature.

The staff helped me tremendously throughout the entire process. They kept me encouraged during a difficult time by offering suggestions on how to complete the move in process. The nurse scheduled her assessment of my mother at a time that was convenient for my mother. The facility is neat and they're checking on whether there's trash that the residents need to get rid of. If you're looking for a place for your loved ones to go when being at home is challenging, then Brookdale East Charlotte is a great option.

These are my impressions based on my friend's comments and my own visits. My friend says the food is very good, but the meal schedule is odd (9:30 breakfast, 11:30 lunch, 4:30 dinner). Two hours between breakfast and lunch, 17 hours between dinner and next day's breakfast.

Our loved one like the layout of the Brookdale Charlotte East community as well as his room. He really enjoyed the meals and the activities they had set up they could work on the communication and cleanliness of the facility.

It has been very positive and what we expected. We chose Brookdale East because of the staff and activities.
