I liked Brookdale Chandler when I first moved there but with the new management I felt like it was going downhill. I have to also say that Brookdale Chandler could be a great place with the right staff but many are fed up with it.

My sister left because the prices are going up, she was only there a few months. They put her down for services she did not need or get, my sister expects a lot and is cheap though. I would recommend Brookdale Chandler Regional to others.

Everything very good, but apartment is very small. We picked this community because of great recruiting, and the cost.

My mom tells me they take to long to prepare and the portions are too small. She tells me they must their activities director and haven't replaced her after several weeks Brookdale was the first and only facility we visited and jumped on it because of the cleanliness and friendly staff. It's expensive but I understand it isn't out of line with similar facilities. They sprigs make sure they all goes Osteen rates are increased and whether there are any incentive plans available such as VA discounts, etc. We learned about that after the fact but we got it resolved quickly with them. Overall we are very pleased with them....especially [name removed] their sales person. he seems to be everywhere. I would highly recommend this Brookdale facility, for sure.

If we could give this a half-star we would. Brookdale Chandler has been horrible to our family and has done everything to turn away my father in law from living there AFTER he passed their medical evaluation, paid deposits, and signed their residency contract. They gave us keys to a unit, then claimed they were unaware of his health conditions, including bipolar, saying they were not equipped to care for him. They almost rendered him homeless. His doctors recommended assisted living and AZ officials affirmed this facility is able to accept residents with his conditions. Be aware they discriminate against patients and overcharge. The executive director, [name removed], continues to claim they're unable to let my father in law reside there, and attempts to charge more for his "increased care needs" which are not valid - his doctors do not agree with Brookdale's evaluations of his care needs - these are trumped up attempts to continue denying him residency and causing undue stress.

It wasn't good. She was there from [date removed] to [date removed] and now she has been living here with me. Short story there was a lady that lived there also and she was very mean to my mother and we went and told staff what was going on and they did things like put her in a separate table and other things. I felt like they didn't do this properly and my mother suffered for it and it kind of seemed like there was a little jealousy from her because my mother became an ambassador to welcome other tenants. Everybody completely loved her, but I couldn't leave her there anymore. The worst part about it was that she moved out on [date removed] and because she had moved in I believe it was the [date removed] we had to actually pay until the [date removed] which I didn't feel was fair because my mother didn't leave because she wanted to she left because of this lady that lives there and she was outright mean and everybody knew it so unfortunately it was not a good experience

This is a very high quality community for what I feel is the best price. The staff really care about the residents. The community offers flexible options for the family and our loved one. The staff communication with the family is pretty good and they are responsive. There are times that the family may have to follow up to get answers. There are three meals served to the residents a day, and there are snacks available for the residents between meals. The community is careful with the menu and there are healthy options for the residents. The meals appear to be restaurant quality.

I felt that they were overpriced and money hungry. I felt like the salesperson pressured us to make a decision that wasn't right for my dad. He ended up moving out [time frame removed] later. Really disappointed with the experience. I don't think it's fair that you have to pay a [fee amount removed] community fee at each community before you know if you're staying or not.

The care is pretty good. It's a very clean community, including the rooms. They were very proffessional. I feel like, they really get to know the residents and they really care. My loved ones didn't really take advantage of the activities bu tthey did offer them. It is fairly pricey but the care/caring of the staff is good value. The staff is really caring, and there is no value that you can put on that. Overall, I picked this place for safety and supervison for my loved ones.

We like the smaller size of the community, the residents are so friendly and right when our loved one moved in they were coming up to him and just making him feel so welcomed. The staff are very welcoming and super friendly. The director [name removed] has been very helpful especially when we ran into some financial issues he was quick to get them resolved. Our loved one is on the independent side but they still come to check on him which we appreciate. He is really enjoying the meals and dining services, and loves all the activities. He loves being able to go out everyday with the residents to different parks and shopping stores.

don't take your loved one here unless you have lots of money. initially Brookdale led us to believe that our monthly bill would be [price removed]; they made it seem like their community had affordable and reasonable prices. when we first moved in my mom had little to no mobility, and we were charged [price removed] that first month for the additional care services. they have an ala carte type of package where they are charging you for everything. my mom asked to have a meal delivered to her room once, and they charged an expensive fee of [price removed]. they make it really easy to rack up a lot of charges here. in the middle of her second month, she was able to get around on her own and her mobility had increased significantly. they still charged us the same amount as the previous month, although she no longer had a need for extra staff or services. she's moved out now, but we haven't been billed for her last month yet. I do have concerns that there will be added fees and charges. I'm also concerned that they'll try and charge us for an additional month since we did not give a 30 days notice. there was a Covid outbreak where about 9 residents were positive. thankfully, there were no causalities or hospitalizations, and they were all quarantined. I'm unsure if those extra fees were on account of my mom having to be in her room for two weeks, and them having to bring things to her? if that's the case, its unfair because it's not her fault nor anyone else's that they caught Covid. according to my mom, the response time for the assistance button/chain was seriously lacking as well. sometimes no one would come, or they would take their time. for a facility this big, they could really benefit from hiring more staff members at night. my loved one only received one full bath within her 3 month stay, yet we paid for all of these care services and added on fees. I also heard that five other residents had left during our stay because they couldn't afford it. this place is expensive.

We toured Brookdale Chandler and I really liked the facility, they gave us a great tour. We did not choose them because we felt the value for the money was not as good and the room sizes here were a little on the smaller side.
The person who led the tour was very sales oriented and really pushing the sales aspect. I just sensed it wasn’t a good fit for my loved one. It didn't look really clean. The carpeting needed to be vacuumed. I didn't see people up and about doing things. They didn't have central air, just window units, which is very outdated. The room there would have been only a studio for considerably more money. It was about a thousand dollars more than the 1-bedrooms we were looking at in the area. So just very over-priced for what they offered.
