Brookdale Anaheim was a great place and we were floured with our experience. The price really fit for us, it was as close to what we could afford. We were really amazed at the facility, they made the dining hall look like a first class restaurant, everyone is always very well dressed. Extremely pleased and impressed. They will help with transportation to doctors appointments, the staff are very helpful and accommodating.

We chose Brookdale Anaheim because they allowed pets. I think that they could encourage residents to participate in the activities provided, she just sits in her room so we have been disappointed in that. I would recommend to others looking, staff and residents have been very friendly.

We chose Brookdale because of the caring-ness of the staff members, I really felt that it was going to be the best fit for mom. They actually cared about the residents rather than the money. From the top all the way down, the staff really care and feel like family. I would absolutely recommend them

Our family was able to have an in person tour and our experience was great, but we ended up not really caring for the location of the community and it is not far from the Tri-Freeway and we did not want our loved one to hear the freeway.
Overall we had a good experience with Brookdale. They were very patient and answered all our questions. Communication was good between the staff and our family. I would recommend this community to others.

The community is a little run down, the carpets are a little dirty so the house keeping could be updated. It kind of reminds us of the 70s. The communication between the staff and the residents could be improved that would be about a 3 out of 5.

They were very nice. It was too price for us.
Not Interested. I went thru a virtual tour with [name removed]. Apts too small. Furniture in common areas are very dated. He was telling me that State law would force my folks to be only in Memory Care unit, which isn't the way most other facility's state. More details stated but need time say again, this facility would absolutely not be accessible to my parents.

I chose Brookdale Anaheim because I had covid and was in a rehab center. Everything was so expensive and somehow they heard about me, contacted me, and gave ma a wonderful rate. They really worked with me financially. I am lucky enough to be in a private 1 bedroom and it is very spacious. It is in a good location and the grounds are immaculate. I would tell others to just be honest with them up front and they will be very helpful and accommodating to your needs. I would highly recommend, I am very happy here.

We think this community was having issues with management at the time our loved one was there. We had a hard time getting a hold of people when we would call. However the rooms and layout of the community was pretty nice.

In general, I have had a good experience living here. I chose this community because I needed to find a place quickly, my friend lives here, and its location is close to my family. They have a lot of activities offered and they provide entertainment as well. The food is salty. During COVID, I feel that they should have taken precautions earlier. I think they are short on staff. Also, we don't have enough toilet paper. They limit us to 3 rolls a week and I had to get a doctor's note to get 5 rolls a week.

I'm completely satisfied with the excellent care my mother is receiving from Brookdale Anaheim. My Mom especially enjoys the singing activities and has frequently commented on the timely administering of her daily medications. Thanks for keeping her so healthy and happy!

The person I spoke with was super friendly and kind. Love that it's a dual facility for both assisted living and memory care. Felt that the dark and dated look of the interior gave off a bit of a depressing vibe. Ended up finding another place that was cheaper with better upkeep inside.

The residents seem active and intersocial. No official staff member was available to give me a tour despite having an appt, so I was very disappointed in the customer service; but the receptionist was very accomodating.

Today my sister and I visited the Brookdale Anaheim .... we liked it. The Memory Care accepts 20 residents... at the moment there are beds available. Because [name removed] is a sociable person, I think the facility may be better for her than the small residence with only 6 residents. Money wise... both the small residence and the larger facility are about the same... expensive. The set up of the Memory Care... looked good and appropriate for 20 residents... activities room, dining area, a small sitting area for one on one therapy, and a patio. The room we saw was nice and large for one person but comfortable if shared. It had it’s own bathroom with a vanity with sink separate from the shower and toilet. Shower was large and easily accessed. Due to distance, we will see if we can visit Brookdale Garden Grove and a couple more closer to our home.

We toured here while looking for a place for my loved one, and I thought it was an excellent community. However, it was more expensive than some of the other places we viewed. My mother also really liked another place we previously saw, so we ultimately went with her choice.

A Place for Mom has scored Brookdale Anaheim 9 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
