We're happy with this place overall. They have activities/bingo and exercise class regularly. They also have occasional entertainment (less with Covid). Trips to shopping and some attractions. Staff is very responsive and we have signed up for news via emails. Mom really likes her apartment--very comfortable. I would recommend them to friends and family.... Read more

They do a great job at Bentley Commons, it has been a phenomenal experience! I'd give them top marks across the board, there really isn't anything they haven't done well. They immediately try and get to know the residents and their families, and try to make them part of the community. The caregivers are friendly and professional, and just leave you feeling confident that your loved one is going to be well taken care of!

The food is terrible, provided by a hospital purveyor. It's hospital food. Staff is very friendly, but there is a very high staff turnover. Rooms are big. Somehow the leadership manages to hold it all together... somehow.

So far, so good. I don't think a lot of people participate, but she's there doing the activities. If you want to engage there is plenty to do. I tried the food and it was good. I think I should be kept more informed of everything going on as far as the medical and financial aspect is concerned. I don't understand a lot of the medical services, like the primary care doctor that is there, they don't really have an office, if someone gets sick they will call them and meet you here or there, the medical and prescription is through one place and it wouldn't be my first choice. When there is a new service that they are providing sending notice home rather than just with the resident would be nice. I liked it because it was clean, and friendly, and I liked the idea that the staff knew all the residents, they were friendly towards them, and there are others that have Alzheimers and they can live independently, sort of. Everybody understands the disease, so she has friends that she hangs around with that are in the same boat. She doesn't get made fun of by the other residents here there is no judgement. I hope she can stay there until the end of life.

Mother's first day there was met with many people greeting her, each having a task to help her get acquainted with the workings of Bentley. There was a person to bring her to lunch and dinner, another person to show her where to pick up her mail, a person assigned to bring her to activities, etc. People at Bentley, workers and residents, have all been very helpful in making her feel comfortable.

We did take a tour and liked it. There are nurses on each floor. Dad will decide if he wants to see the place himself. I would recommend it.

After speaking to Tracy at Bentley Commons, this is not the right fit for my mom. Tracy was wonderful and very helpful with information. I did not tour the facilty; however, what I saw was very nice.

I really liked them. they were very supportive and friendly and I hope I get a place for Mom. They do not have any progressive alzheimers facility but they will move the resident to the next level which is the facility next door.

Bentley Commons is beautiful. I rate it A+ for cleanliness, friendliness of all staff including the ones we met in the hall. Dining area is very clean and choice of meals is excellent. The one and two bedroom apts that we viewed were huge as well as the companion apt. The studio was a bit on the small side. The grounds are beatiful, they have great daily scheduled activities along with postings thruout the halls.

A Place for Mom has scored Bentley Commons at Bedford 3 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
