Very honestly, I would give a five for each of the categories. I know my dad was only there for a few weeks but overall the care and consideration everybody had for him made myself and my sisters so happy that he was able to be in your facility. Our only wish was that we could've talked him into coming to Belmont months earlier and he would've made some friendships with the people there but he was a little too stubborn for us to do that. Thanks for all you've done for him. I would definitely give high marks to your staff including the nurses and the assistants. My dad made a great connection with a couple of the gentleman who helped him and always came quickly when called. Everyone was so pleasant and more than willing to sit down and talk to us when we had questions. The atmosphere of the facility I felt made people feel comfortable when they walked in and it felt more like a living room and not a sterile type of facility at all. My Dad had a studio which we didn't know for sure would work since he came from his own home when he first came but the way it was designed and the fact that he could hang up different things from World War II and family pictures was another great feature!... Response from Belmont Village Glenview
January 25, 2024Thank you for the positive feedback. Your words of encouragement have been passed along to our Glenview PALs.
As one of four daughters of [name removed], a recent resident at Belmont Village Glenview, I would like to express my sincere thanks to the staff at this superb Assisted Living facility. My Dad had lived alone in his house for 17 years after my Mom passed away, but his Parkinson’s condition didn’t allow him to remain there without round the clock care. About 10 years ago, one of his best friends of 80+ years was a resident at Belmont and I remember how often he talked about his best friend's amazing home as he lived out his long life. Dad loved his music and tried to visit his buddy on the days that musical guests were there, as well as good food and even wine! When we decided to visit some places Dad felt that Belmont was where he wanted to be. He said it was like a fancy hotel, everything so clean and orderly. Decorations and flowers were beautiful and just an overall feeling of comfort and care was felt by all of us. His grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren were welcomed by all when they came to visit Papa. Unfortunately, Dad was only there for 3 weeks before he passed away about one month from his 100th birthday! The staff, especially the PALS that he became instant friends with, treated him with the dignity and respect he deserved. He was able to share many of his WWII Army medic stories from being in Normandy on D-Day. Dad was a very social person and the environment at Belmont allowed him to interact with so many people he would have otherwise not been able to get to know. With 2 of my sisters being nurses, the medical care he received was looked at by them as being just what he needed to have us all feel at ease. We had very few sleepless nights while he was in his apartment there; much different from when he was at his home alone. Without hesitation, I would highly recommend Belmont Village Glenview to any family looking for a “wonderful home away from home” for their loved ones.

Response from Belmont Village Glenview
January 25, 2024We would like to extend our sincerest condolences for you and your family’s loss. Thank you for taking the time to share your dad’s story with us. Your Dad will be greatly missed in our Belmont Village Glenview community.
My mother was very adamant about not going. But she adjusted really well and wound up enjoying it there. The staff was very kind to her and very kind to our family. I liked the longevity of the staff they had. A lot of people had been employees there for over 10 years. No place is perfect, but I was relieved how well this place worked out, because it took a lot of stress off of me as her caretaker for 4+ years.

Everyone at Belmont Village is very sweet and caring with my mom. She was getting physical therapy too. They have all different types of activities like musical entertainment twice a week, which my mom really enjoys. There are activities morning and afternoon that helps with mental sharpness. I don't know how much it's helpful my mom but it can't hurt and she's with other people.

July 6, 2023Thank you for the kind review. We appreciate your taking the time to rate your experience with Belmont Village.
They offer a great variety of activites but my loved one does not participate. It is incredibly expensive but worth it. APFM was amazing. We picked this community because, the staff is amazing, they are experienced, incredibly knowlegeable, and knew what a hoyer lift was. The staff from the office to floor has been there a long time. They are constantly adjsuting to accomodate the changing needs of my loved one.

Belmont Village Glenview is very caring and very responsive to questions or needs. They are responsive to any problems you may have, and they really seem to care about their residents. I'm there almost everyday, so there's no need for them to call me; but they do send out monthly newsletters regarding activities for the different groups. They mention birthdays and others general information in that announcement as well. Overall I would recommend Belmont Village to others.

Response from Belmont Village Glenview
July 20, 2022Thanks for your review and recommendation. We truly care for our residents and are passionate about giving them the highest level of care and support, and we appreciate you taking time to share your experience with others.
We like the size of the community, it is not to huge so it gives off more of that homey feel to it. The staff are very friendly, that is something our loved one is very happy about. She really likes her room and location. They have a special food item every day that the kitchen staff makes sure the residents are made aware of. If there is something they do not like there is an alternative menu with many many other options to pick from. Based on our experience so far we would recommend the community to other familes

Response from Belmont Village Glenview
April 1, 2022We understand the importance of finding the right fit and appreciate you considering Belmont Village.
We have a lot of positive things to say about this community, when we are around we see the staff interacting with the residents in a positive manner. They establish good relationship with everyone, and it is a pretty good sized facility maybe around 200+ people, and yet they still know who our loved one is, and who I am. However, the community could benefit if they had an orientation for those who have never been through this profess, or something that helps us figure things out, and understand the transition.
This one was a bit pricier than we were looking for. The community looks absolutely fantastic, but it was more glitzy than we preferred.
We are very happy with Belmont Village Glenview. When you walk in, it is beautiful. Very clean and immaculate and we had a great first impression. We chose this facility because of the proximity, they were a little more flexible and accommodating, and I felt like they were better equipped for people who are end of life. She gets a lot of personalized one on one care. The room she has is very comfortable, they do have all different sizes of rooms based off of your needs. The staff here are AMAZING. I really feel like they genuinely care about what they are doing. I would highly recommend.

I would tell others that the staff are very kind, and most of them have been there long term. The community is well maintained, decor is pretty, and it is home like feel. Our loved one is comfortable here.
Belmont Villiage is HORRIFIC! During Covid, several staff members still aren't wearing masks, which is ironic because their healthcare workers should know and understand the importance of masks to curtail the spread of the virus. The management only talks to family members signing the checks each month, so if there's a problem with your loved one, and you're not writing the check, don't expect your opinion to matter. Worse yet, they may threaten to take away your visitation rights if you voice concerns. Steer clear of this facility if you want your loved one to have a happy and healthy home!

My mother, who has Alzheimer's, stayed at Belmont Village for a 30-day respite visit from [date removed] through [date removed] of 2019. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. The facility is clean and comfortable. Activities are offered every day for the residents. This was a trial basis for my mom, as she wasn't sure if she was ready to live in a senior living community. After the 30 days were up, my mother returned home. My siblings and I disagreed about this decision. They thought that she wasn't ready for 24/7 care. They all thought it was too expensive. I believe that she does need that care. As I was outnumbered 3 against 1, they brought her back home. For the last month, my siblings have cut off all communication with me. This past Saturday, I spoke to my mom, and my siblings had a meeting last week to hire an in-home care worker to come to my Mom's house a couple days a week to help her out. I was not invited to this meeting nor has any of them contacted me to let me know what is going on.

We really liked [name removed]. The place seemed fine. Nothing particularly memorable, though. It was the first place we saw, and we just wanted to see others.

The Place For Mom advisor helped me find, look at ratings, costs, programs of facilities near me and develop a list of questions to ask on my visits. After talking on phone to several assisted living facilities specifically with dementia-care programs, and touring several, it came down to a gut feeling of where I could envision my mum happy on a daily basis and that was Belmont Village, Glenview. It has a great open floor plan with many common areas and an open approach to enabling residents with appropriate oversight/supervision to remain active in their own self care, stimulating programs in groups that socialize based on latest dementia care research recommendations and on-site physical rehab and exercise programs, onsite nurses, meds administration, doctor visits, a simple-to-understand 3-level of care pricing model and compassionate, friendly, well-trained staff, an open door visitor policy, and family-focused events, celebrations, and activities for enjoyable visits. Not all residents need dementia care and those who do are evaluated on an ongoing basis for which level of care is needed at the appropriate time. My mum’s living quarters were accessible and resembled her condo on a mini-level and the grounds and outings provided are all lovely. The staff was very helpful with transitioning my mum in and the mive went smoothly. And the onsite PT/OT program enabled her to return directly from a hospital visit instead of going to a rehabilitation facility.
