I am paying much more than I am getting in return. Its very hard to get staff to communicate with resident reps, children or health care surrogates. I was so excited to move Mom here but my expectations have not been lived up to. They sell a good story but its pretty much a fairytale.

From my parents: A facility like this does take a period of adjustment. Your experience here will be what you make it. The staff really cares about the residents and strives to be friendly and helpful and keep us healthy and active. The number of residents who are in their upper 80's and 90's is a testament to the rich lives we can lead here.

Amazing experience and a wonderful positive place extremely beautiful. They made everything easy. Beautiful maintained and clean. Amazingly friendly staff . So far in the short time quality of café is outstanding. The dining is very nice and food looks great. Keeping her very busy and happy. She is in memory care floor and she's doing very well and gaining weight. And looks extremely healthy and happy. It is what it is. It is very costly. More than we wanted to spend but she is worth it and we've been very happy so far. It's only been 2 months. Ty also fir all your help. A Place for mom was so wonderful and helpful in finding the right facility.

It’s what they don’t tell you. My Mother was in memory care and fell out of her wheelchair with an aide pushing. Broken femur, concussion. Hospitalized and not allowed to return to Belmont. Why? If you can not bear weight on one foot you are no longer qualified. On two separate tours by family members before deciding on Belmont we were told she could live out her days there. She now requires a long term care facility It cost 30 thousand to move her to [removed]. Plus Belmont keeps charging you until the room is cleared out. It gets worse. Belmont refused to call me back to discuss and I had to. resort to a corporate who’s equipped to dismiss concerns.

We toured Belmont Village Fort Lauderdale when searching for an Independent Living facility for our loved one. This facility was a shiny, 'new', fabulous facility. But it was twice the price of the others that we toured, with many facility activities and services. It was just too much to imagine my loved one wanting and getting the value from it. Also, the two units available at the time had poor views. It just wasn't a good option for us.

January 25, 2024Thank you for joining us on a tour and for leaving this kind review. We are sorry to learn that we weren’t the right fit for your loved one’s current needs. Please keep us in mind as you continue to search for the right place. If you have any questions from your tour, contact the Community Relations team.
My loved one lives at Belmont Village Fort Lauderdale. After a terrible experience at her previous facility, I can't tell you how relieved and grateful our family is now! My loved one is getting the care that she so desperately needs. This facility is a professionally run, high class community with a beautiful 12- story location. Administration and attendants know my loved one by name and care for her with the utmost respect. The department heads are always open to hearing any concerns that we may have. It's pricey, but well worth the cost to care for my loved one. If I could rate this facility higher than a 5, I would.

July 6, 2023Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We appreciate you allowing us to serve your family and care for your husband. We hope you and your family are doing well.
We were going to choose another place because of cost ( Belmont contacted us and said they would work with us on affordability) That was an answer to my prayers.!!!!!!!!

Because I'm not vaccinated, they wanted me to take a Covid test before entering, which I would have had to do every time I came to visit had we chosen them. I ended up having to have my significant other video chat with me as they took him on the tour inside. The rooms were extraordinary small, with no natural light. It was expensive for what they had to offer. There were not many activities, and it just didn’t seem like a fun place. If there were further Covid lockdowns, I wouldn't want my loved one stuck in such a small room with nothing going on.

November 29, 2022Our pricing reflects offering the highest quality of care possible to our residents. We take pride in providing a variety of different activities, events, and amenities. Our COVID-19 policies are in place to protect our valued residents. We understand the importance of finding the right fit and hope you were able to find a place that meets your family’s needs and expectations.
The main thing would say is a lot of money, but they state is included. You learn to find out there are several hidden fees that add up to thousands more than what was disclosed at initial inquiry.

This is a nice community and we are very pleased with this community for my loved one. They have activities like yoga, swimming, musical activities and more for the residents to do at this community. The tour was great and they gave me all of the information that I needed. The only complaint that my loved one has is the food. They also provide care services at this community for my loved one which we like.

Response from Belmont Village Fort Lauderdale
May 27, 2022Thank you for your review. We’re glad to hear your loved one is enjoying the various activities and events we offer. We take pride in our daily chef-prepared meals, and we’re sorry to hear your loved one’s expectations haven’t been met. We encourage you to contact the community’s executive director to directly discuss your concerns.
Would not recommend it to anyone. The nursing staff is so below par. They charged us for time our parents were not there. No one reached out to us when my parents ended up in the hospital not once to get an update. I would never recommend them to anyone. The food came with no condiments, never had coffee or sugar, or creamer. They were short staffed. They had no options during meal times. One drink option, no ice on their drink carts. The staff were rough with the residents. They never had the same staff working. After my loved one passed, we found my Mothers belongings brand new being used by another resident. So they came into her room and took her things to use on other residents that was never used on her. Outside of all of this the activities staff were the only ones that were great.

I would tell others this is an excellent community. My friend likes it here. The staff is friendly, and take care of the residents. They will find residents to make sure the meds are taken by the residents. They have excellent entertainment to entertain the residents.

Very clean there. The people who take care of your loved one are extremely caring. they would give a 5. The administrative staff are disconnected. They would get one to two stars. They were very anxious nad nice to you trying to get you on board. But once you were on board, you wer edropped like ahot patato. And that was very hurtful. A lot of the people there are wanting to jump ship, especially based on what they get for the price they pay. My lvoed one wasn't jazzed about the food. Activiites were their very low point. Those were very much lacking, and a large part of why she moved. I did tell this to the director, and he agreed with me. But he didn't do anything about it. Basically nobody is out there being a cheerleader and heling the new residents get involved with one another. Covid lockdown was a factor, and occasionally the did nave activites with socail distancing. But overlal not enoguh staff to maek thigns happen. My loved one was so unhappy. She would tell me when she walked out of the door every day she would say "I hate this place. "

This is a gorgeous building and truly a special place. The management and staff is amazing, so well trained, considerate and caring. The pool is a paradise and the activities are fantastic. I can’t say enough about the dining room manager and staff, and the quality of the cuisine—gourmet dining and service that a five star restaurant would be proud to offer. My loved one is so happy here and I am grateful beyond words to have found this home for her!

This is a beautiful Senior Living community. The staff is friendly, kind, and caring. Move in was easy, with lots of advice and help to make the transition smooth. As a new community facility, procedures and staff are always changing and growing. I am enjoying my new life at The Belmont. Beautiful location with a view of the ocean and Intracoastal. The staff is devoted to the service of the residents. Dining options are varied and the food is very good. Appreciate the variety of activities available, gym, pool, physical therapy, movies, yoga, board games. You can be as active as you wish. Nurse on duty 24/7 is a great feature.
