I recommend the facility. The food is average and the staff is friendly. The move in process was easy and pleasant.

If you love someone you will take them as far away from this place as possible. they mistreat and steal from their customers, they do not clean once a month like they say they do, and just overall horrible. They also don’t care to give you expired food.

We took a tour of Beatitudes Campus during our search for an Independent Living facility for our loved one. This facility was older and the apartments were not as well equipped. This facility was also more expensive than several of the other facilities that we looked at.
Cold and heatless employees. My mother passed away [date removed], I was notified by Maricopa County on [date removed]. After several calls the campus and two days later, an employee finally returned my call. She is a cold unhuman uncaring "person". She told me as far as she was concerned my mother did not have a daughter. I could not have access to her apartment to look for a will or notes. Even though I can prove with my birth certificate I am next of kin! They had two others on file from NY. (Now one of these people told Maricopa County in writing that she would not take responsibility for my mother's remains.) When I asked what would happen to my mother's apartment, I was told it would be disposed of after a month. They do not care about family it's just another day, another death. Move on. The phone call did end with calling the employee a cold heatless [removed]. (Maybe not the correct way, but she doesn't care, I'm sure she went about with the rest of her day.)

Unfortunately the Wi-Fi has been problematic. On the plus side, I enjoy not having to cook. I did not expect how friendly everyone here is.

We are just approaching our fourth year here at Beatitudes. We were going to wait another two years before moving in, but I am glad we moved in now. I was very sedentary before moving in. Since I've moved in, I've taken classes from the LifeLong Learners classes, and even taught a class! I am now playing music again. I gave it up for 20 years because of a back injury. They helped me deal with my injury to play music once again. I used to depend on a service animal to help me walk, and I've grown less dependent on her since I am walking more, and much stronger. I've also changed my doctor to the Campus PCP who has given me great service. She has time for me. What a concept! I did a cost analysis and found that it does not cost me much more to live here than managing my own home AND they do all the work for me. Based on our research, a non-profit community is the way to go. Even if you don't select Beatitudes, evaluate everything. This decision will be with you a long time.

They only had studio apartments.
I recommend it and talk about this place all the time to my friends and family. I love it. They offer that a choir as part of their activities. There is about 30 members. We have penuckle. They do a good job with the meals.

Good community, too large of a campus for my loved one.
I chose Beatitudes Campus because they had so much to offer. I especially like the 3 restaurants on campus as well as the activities they have to offer. I really enjoy my apartment here, especially my balcony. My favorite part about the community so far has been the restaurants, they can deliver to residents rooms. I would recommend.

They have a lot of activities. They have good food and they have 3 different restaurant/ dining room options. The staff is very friendly. The room sizes are good. They have a lot of space but the campus is kind of confusing because all the buildings look alike.

I did not know my mother would be in a coma after giving drugs that would cause her die the next day. I arrived to see her one morning and she was unresponsive and no one would tell me what happened to her. Her guardian in another state did not inform me that this was going to happen and I never got to speak to my mom or hear her voice again, she died the next day. It is unconscionable that a facility would allow this to happen without all family being on the same page as to what is happening. Instead family members were powerless at their mothers bedside. I can’t get over her vibrancy yet frail and no forewarning that her end time was chosen without my involvement. This was not right ethically or morally.

My mom is a resident in memory care. The staff to resident ratio is insufficient and was much better when she originally moved in. There are no organized activities and residents are parked in front of a tv even if they’re capable of more engaging activities. The only upside is that med management is good and it’s cleaner than most places. Management loves to tout their mission yet never visits the dementia floors.

I think Beatitudes is managed very well. I think it's the reason it is doing so well. Just the way the employees interact with the people there, you can tell they really want to be there. The food is very good. They have four restaurants in house for residents to choose from, and they have so many activities like college classes, a ceramics workshop, exercise classes, and others. I am absolutely 100 percent happy with it.

A Place for Mom has scored Beatitudes Campus, a CCRC 8.1 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
