Bear Creek has a home like feeling, not cold and or institutional. It was a good, positive experience. I would recommend Bear Creek.

I would say that it was a really hard adjustment for my father at 93 years old. The sales person was really good at what she does and made it and easy choice for me. I chose it because the location was close to my house. I would suggest to people that they need to stay on top of things and be there family member's advocate. The staff were willing to work with us and do whatever we would ask them to do.

Bear Creek has been very good to us. They are doing the best they can keeping us informed and doing extra cleaning during this quarantine for Covid -19. My mom likes the food service and the physical help she has been getting with her daily activities. The staff has been helping my mom adjust and to familiarize her with the activities. We like the smaller size of the community it is easier for her to make friends. We chose this community because it is close to where she use to live to make it easier for people to come visit her.

Nice community, fairly close but still a little further than I would like. Geared more toward assisted living with no full kitchens and would not suit my mother.

Visited over holiday weekend We were there fri thru Monday Staff limited We drove up to sit with Director of Nursing over major concerns with my Moms Care. Meds not given when she was in pain took 3 hours to recieve med was told we have too much to do to run up to you Nurses are extremely Rude my sister stated mom was almost given a blood thinner due to nurse thought she was someone else This scares me This is not the only time we have attempted to address things with [name removed] but she is full of excuses and lies I decided to go during med pass one day and evening sat out in hall nurses were rude at times and didn’t all seem confident nor did I see the nurse wash hands or use gloves with the eye drops this is not good to say the least Director of nursing was too busy to sit with me The staff on Sun seem to be there not to work it was a circus mom had dust built up on furniture window sill and refrigerator not wiped out so I did it She had been little incontinent at night was told by a aide your not a baby clean yourself Spoke with Residents families Sun and Monday they open my eyes that over last couple years administration failed and that the good nurses who cared were let go due to they would speak up for the Residents well being but I have been here about a year only I was happy the last boss was let go he was a liar but the new guy seems ok but nursing is a issue

Went on Sunday, the place was all a buzz getting ready for Thanksgiving brunch with families. The place is beautiful and has an enormous amount of activities. There are 100 residents situated on 3 floors. Most people are in their late 60's and are couples. Most of the staff has been there since the opening in 2001. I think this place would have been the perfect fit for my mom if she was younger because of the activities, but with Parkinson's she cannot do many of them. There were very few downsides; you cannot age in place unless you were already terminal and had hospice. Any type of pic line or catheter is not permitted and no hospital beds permitted, so that leaves my mom out.

This Place once so beautiful filled with love and TLC but destroyed by poor management. Totally feel for Residents and Families and Staff. 2012 I moved my family member in and slowly seen it decline over last year. Bring Back Old Staff

My mom is having a fine experience as a new resident of the community. She is very satisfied with the meals they make and satisfied with activities. The staff are keeping the community clean and giving suitable care. She is pleased and happy here. They were able to accept her medicaid.

I moved my mom out after brief stay i believe in focus on positive so care assistants were very caring Nurses were ok some very inexperienced but head nurse although very stressed seemed very knowledgeable The food not so great The director a woman rude at times Activity crew friendly Residents friendly made mom welcomed The head director young inexperienced and distant Cleanliness could use a improvement The decor needs drapery photos a more home like look. One thing i didnt like is how the marketer openly discussed other residents with us such as their heath issue family dynamics she talked too much.I feel it would be a great home with some improvements

There can always be more activities going on. My father tends to be very picky but loves the activities he goes to. Staff is wonderful, they treat my family like their own. Food, well that is tough. Dad has his favorites. There are some things he has never eaten in his 89 years alive. We knew his taste wasn't going to change. The Family Brunch is wonderful. Food selection is always vast and tasty. Their Family Christmas Party is amazing. With a champaign fountain and a horse drawn carriage outside, I feel like royalty. Thank you for how you treat my father. I rest at night he is at Bear Creek. (I know some people will complain about the littlest things on these sites. From one 'child' to another, go see Bear Creek, you will expierence the truth)

Moving your parent or loved one into a assisted living is not always easy but I have to say moving my mom to bearcreek was amazing The place is beautiful The staff is caring loving and treat you like family. I had a sense of peace knowing she was in good hands. Tracey in marketing is friendly and accomodating The Wellness Nurse Jeannie is beyond helpful and loving and Marge is excellent I feel as they are a part of our family The only complaint mom has is the food but not daily just not always perfect The one thing is I do wish there were more activities Mom gets bored easy. She is looking foward to joining garden club and going on casino outings

To have mom go there and adjust within less than a week, and have her adjust in less than a week was absolutely phenomenal. Mom really enjoys it there at Bear Creek Assisted Living. She loves all the activities and has made a lot of friends. When I go in she introduces me to all her friends she's made there. She is very happy which has made the everything very easy and pleasant for us. I would highly recommend Bear Creek Assisted Living to anyone!

A Place for Mom has scored Bear Creek Assisted Living 8.8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
