Residents at the manor are afraid of the office people. They are threatened with eviction and when they turn to those above management, they say we're harassing them and tell us harassment is grounds for eviction. Inspections without being told and again the threatened with eviction. People are leaving, even one that was only here a year. Most don't have the money to move. Employee quick after 30 because of those in the office. After years of no help. This place was once a God send for seniors to live out our lives in peace. Seniors should not live in emotional upset.

management does not follow its own mission and value statement. the poor residents get bullied by the staff, especially in the apartment section. I have a loved one who lives there and management is not nice to the elders at all. The residents are hesitant to go to the office or even to the floor where the office is located until after the manager leaves the building. I can't believe this "Christian" organization lets this person manage the apartment building

I do not write negative reviews, but feel a need to do so in this case, to help prevent others from making the same mistake we did. We chose Baptist Homes (based on reviews) for our father for rehabilitation after a hospital stay and we were extremely disappointed. On the 4th day of his stay ( we had been there each day) someone called us about 1:00 pm to say our dad, since early am, was being uncooperative, not speaking, eyes tightly shut and flinging about. Despite his condition they got him up and clothed and in a wheelchair. When we arrived we immediately called 911 because it was obvious that he was DELIRIOUS (he was not conscious) and extremely ill. It concerned us greatly that this was not obvious to the medical staff on duty. Also the furniture in his shared room was in poor condition. The TV was so small it was impossible to see anything from his bed. The food was truly so awful that he could not eat it and we had to bring in food for him. It seemed there were very few professional staff around in general, other then a couple aides to bring meals. We would never recommend this facility to anyone!

This location was more of a traditional nursing home, which was really not what we were looking for for Mom. It is an old building, but seemed to be kept up decently. Mom said she wouldn't mind being here if she did ever need skilled nursing care.
