We love it! It's an older place, but they are continually making updates and making things nicer. It's clean. If something spilled and our loved one let them know, they were right on it and got it all cleaned up. So if you don't mind an older place, it's comfortable. It feels like home. And the staff make it feel that way. That was what we noticed right off the bat when we first walked in. They were just really wonderful. We have nothing bad to say about the place. They would come in to check on him at night to make sure he didn't fall out of bed, which we appreciated. All the staff that we met have been top-notch. And they seem to be happy to be working there. Almost none of the places we looked at are furnished, including Providence. We weren't expecting that, so just be aware that you have to bring all of your own furniture. They do provide a little refrigerator, but there's no sink in the main living space, just the bathroom sink. We were able to bring a microwave, and that suits pretty much all of his needs since they provide all the meals. He says he's really pleased with the food overall, but would like to see them use some more spices here and there. They have a lot of activities going on, and he's really enjoying it. We're so happy that we chose them!

Right when we walked into Providence it had a weird smell to it. But what we picked up from the tour was the activities looked great and geared towards the residents care levels and it was nice that the manager lived on the property. The facility has a lot of parking lots so we were not big fans of that. If it weren't for the weird smell, I think it would have been a great place.
I would recommend this community to others

The communication is very good at this facility. You're not going to have anyone do better than this community. The food is good they have multiple options if you don't want the meal of the day. The rooms are large and the value of this community is great compared to others.

Providence Assisted Living is a very clean and beautiful facility. The management has been very friendly and very helpful. Our loved one enjoys the piano, and this has overall been a great experience from the get go.

A Place for Mom has scored Azalea Commons of Springdale 7 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
