Our experience at the Atria-Rye Brook has been consistently wonderful. We moved our parents there over 5 years ago after a negative experience at another facility. They have seen us through the ups and downs of health crises, loss, and rehabilittion. The staff, everyone from the receptionists to the dining room personnel, know the residents and work hard to learn their preferences and accommodate their needs. The administration has been amazing--responsive, kind and caring. This is a challenging phase of life, and we feel fortunate to have a team of people who are right there behind us supporting our family.

I have been living at Atria Rye Brook for eight and a half months. It is a wonderful place, and it gets better all the time. Our manager, [name removed], is wonderful. She is friendly, helps all the residents, and makes sure everything is good. I enjoy speaking with her all the time. We have fun!

The Atria at Rye Brook has been a safe haven for our family. We contacted the Atria after realizing that the care my mother had received at another facility was not a good fit for our family. The community director at the Atria immediately put us at ease, and every interaction we have had with the staff at the Atria since then has been equally satisfying. The kindness and care the Atria staff has shown to my mother gives our family peace of mind that she is in a safe and healthy environment. Someone is always available to answer our questions, and they are thoughtful about the way that they provide individualized care for each of the residents. Every member of the staff knows my mother’s name and is interested in how she is doing and what her plans are for the day. She loves to go to the movies every day and has meals with her friends. Her apartment is lovely and feels like home. We recommend the Atria to all our friends who are looking for the next step in care for their parents.

The place is nice and staff is great. The activity assistants are great with assisting me on my phone issues. My husband and I made a lot of new acquaintances.

My name is [name removed] and my Mom, [name removed] was a resident at the Atria in Rye Brook, NY for over 17 years . We are so grateful to the Atria for the wonderful care they gave to her. We were especially appreciative of [name removed] and the incredible attention and care she demonstrated to my Mom. [name removed] is sensitive and sensible - and it is obvious how her attention to detail comes through in the manner in which she oversees an operation with the challenges and complexities of a facility such as this. Moreover, the concern and communication that [name removed] maintained throughout the pandemic provided our family with a tremendous degree of comfort - knowing that [name removed] and her entire staff were making sure that the residents and staff (and families) were being cared for and watched over during this tumultuous time. I just wanted to communicate to you how appreciative our family is with a special thank you to Barbara for everything she did - and the graciousness that she always did it with.

Prior to moving to ARB, I did my due diligence. I visited various residences in Westchester County and lower Connecticut. Others have similar layouts/geography, but ARB seemed to be a better place to reside. Boy did I find this state of affairs to be understated. They truly care about their residents, and they constantly go out of their way to please. In this day and age, Senior Residences have not garnered accolades for caring to such a high degree. Their onsite transportation places luxury vehicles with professionals to cover my needs seven days a week. It is a pleasure not to concern myself with driving/owning my own vehicle. I just do not need to bother anymore. Atria has a church that is close by. It happens to be in the next state. Actually it is across the street. A five minute walk. How did they ever arrange this? I have encountered one ongoing shortcoming --- The food is too good. I have gained weight during my residency. Such a challenge to endure! God loves me a lot.

There is not enough room in this email to express how thankful I am for [name removed]meeting yesterday. Being in the relationship business myself, I was extremely impressed and blown away by [name removed] and the facility. My grandfather, COULD NOT STOP RAVING about [name removed] and the beautiful facilities. He actually came home to their very large 3 bedroom condo saying.." ugh were back to this place." :) Thank you so much for the thoughtfulness, knowledge and kindness. It was truly appreciated by our family.

Hi [name removed], It's been very nice seeing things getting back to normal at Atria Rye Brook. My Mom, [name removed] is so happy to be back home at Atria. We have always been impressed with all the staff (front desk, cleaning, activities, dining room, maintenance, etc), who are always professional and pleasant. We have only recently been using the Atria driving service for my Mom's medical appointments and have found this to be an excellent service. The drivers are always prompt, courteous and reliable. Most recently, we were driven by [name removed] who always does a great job. I am particularly impressed with how kind, patient and attentive he is to the Atria residents. Thanks for providing a great environment for my Mom. All the best,

From our understanding we think our loved ones are happy with the meals, and we do know the activities are starting to come back. It is expensive, but all communities like this are expensive. Our mother was previously at this community when it was owned by different management and we were very happy. Another thing that worked for our loved ones, is that they could try out this community for a couple months before they fully had to commit to it.

The place is very well kept and very well managed. There are lots of services for my loved one. And everybody there has been really good to her. It's been worry-free. My loved one's apartment is a 2-bedroom and more than adequate for her. When we moved in it was clean, and they had put in new carpets. The finishes are really nice. The kitchen is a nice apartment-sized kitchen, and the bathrooms are huge. She's made a lot of friends, and everybody seems to be quite content there, from what she tells me. They seem to have a lot of activities, and my loved one seems to be pretty busy. I think it's a really good value given the services and the friendliness of the staff. They're all very helpful.

I have to thank you for all your support and guidance during the process of finding my sister the perfect place to move to from rehab. Being so far away in Florida and completely unaware of how to navigate all the various steps needed to find, qualify and select a location, it has been an overwhelming experience, Without your help, I would have been lost. You may view what you do as your job, but I want you to know how much of an impact you have had on me during this time. Not only your knowledge, but your calm, confident and composed personality was so reassuring to me. But most importantly was the kindness and empathy you displayed every time I called you....and every time you called me unprompted. Just 2 weeks ago I was quite lost on how to go about finding a place to have her move to and without your gentle guidance I never would have been able to get to this day where she moved into Atria. I wont forget what you have done for me. A sincere Thank You!!

From our understanding our loved one really enjoys the meals. The activities are limited but they still have a fitness class with a sign up sheet, they still have movie nights and a happy hour cart that comes around every day at 5pm. Every two weeks they rotate the residents through the dining room so they can eat there with their friends. Our loved one looks at this community as home now.

Sorry it took so long for me to write to thank you for the tour of your beautiful community. I left with such a warm and inviting feeling and told several of my friends how impressed I was with all that was available to residents. Looks like I will have to join them. All the best wishes for a healthy and happy holiday. Hope this will be better for all of us in the coming year.

A Place for Mom has scored Atria Rye Brook 9.2 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
