It is close to home. Dad took mom there weekly for concerts for several years. Some of his clients came to his beauty shop from The Osborn. It was a familiar place, known to be top of the line. A large and beautiful apartment facing the gardens was available. In general, the staff is lovely and accommodating and attentive. My dad tells me every day how much he likes and appreciates the Osborn. Sometimes there are glitches, but they are small. He passed the "driving test" and uses both his walker and a motorized wheelchair. The wheelchair allows Dad to attend activities in the Independent Living section of the 56 acre complex as well as in the Assisted Living section. He chooses to have breakfast in his room daily and eats with other residents for lunch and dinner. Dad adds additional seasoning to his meals, but is happy with the food choices. A Place for Mom has scored The Osborn 7 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
