First of all when visiting Atria Oakridge during the past 4-5 years to visit my brother and sister in law. It was tippy top. That is why we decided to make the move from Huntington Beach Ca. Well, it could not be more different. Fine dining was served at all meals, and [name removed]was the chef at that time. You were led to your table by a Lovely lady named [name removed] to enjoy a sumptuois meal. Today, today a different situation. For instance, was served cold chicken wings, prior to my soup, which was nice and hot. No condiments for the wings or crudites. The two critical servers in the dining were just termidated. We will never know why because their is a failed line of communication with the executive director. We are discouraged to be familial with employes. The objective here is to listen to the residents when we speak our peace, not to tell us that the info we need to know is the truth. The only saving grace is the Engage Life Group.

My loved one is a resident at Atria Oakridge. The staff are great. Communication with the family is good. The meal quality is good. We are very happy and comfortable with the decision we made to choose Atria Oakridge. Every Resident that we have spoken with loves it there and many of them have been there for MANY years! I would definitely recommend this facility to family and friends.

Response from Atria Oakridge
July 11, 2023We are thrilled to have you as part of the Atria family! Thank you for sharing your kind words with us. It means the world to us and to our team!
This was a good tour with good staff. The hallways were long and dark for us. The cost was more than we wanted to spend.
The staff is very friendly. The meals are not varied enough, salads and fruits are not fresh and portions are too small. The activities are limited and very basic. Food and activities were a very big selling point and proved to be not as advertised. They need more staff and more attention to detail.

My in-laws moved into Atria Oakridge on Oct 11,2022. We visit often (couple times per week). We had lunch there today. My in-laws love the place. Very nice facility, friendly staff, great variety of meal options, walking distance to grocery store, pharmacy, hardware store, and several great restaurants. Excellent therapy (PT,OT) staff. GP services making house calls for wellness checks and lab work. Extremely convenient.

Atria Oakridge has been a very good community, it is very clean and this is the friendliest group of staff members we have encountered. The meals and dining service is very good and they have more activities during the week that we could keep up with. Even with is being on the higher side, we do think the value is pretty good and we would recommend Atria Oakridge to other families.

Great things happening at Atria Oakridge! [name removed] and her team are doing a FANTASTIC job! Not only do they truly care about the the resident's health and safety, they care about each resident's happiness, and experience living at Atria, e.g. in the dining room, working with residents' requests and concerns, many opportunities to socially interact, getting out into the community, and working with the resident's family to enhance the resident's experience. Thank you Atria Oakridge!!! My father has lived at Atria Oakridge since the spring of 2019. Aside from COVID, my father has been very happy. Atria's health and safety protocols put my mind at ease. The apartments are beautiful, sizeable, open rooms with big windows. The building and grounds are well maintained and beautiful. This is a place I would live. As mentioned in the beginning, my father's and my interactions with the staff have been excellent. I appreciate how much "the resident" comes first.

Just rec5moved my parents into Oakridge and couldn't be any happier with the decision. Their apartment is spacious and bright, the residents and staff have been very welcoming. Wonderful caregiving and therapy options in the building that have been a huge relief. So much safer and better off than when they were at home. Highly recommend

I like it here very much. The staff is very kind and courteous. The apartment is a nice size and designed well. The only problem I have with it is the shower has a four-inch ridge to step into, and the shower pan is sloped which means we had to add an extra hand rail. Also the shower head is too high up. And I wish the microwave was on the counter and not above the stove. But so far it's been a very friendly place, and we've made quite a few friends. My schedule doesn't necessarily line up with the activities, but they have lots of things going on, including Bridge and Pinochle.

It was very nice, and I liked it but wasn't a good fit for my loved one.
I think oak ridge would be worth the money if a few issues were addressed. I loved the ambassador program - but maybe they can help promote or build up more activities. The experience was very good - they seem to be going through some administration transition so check on that - the staff is kind - make sure the transportation policy and availability is clear. For the cost of the facility, I would expect higher quality food.

It is [date removed], my name is [name removed]. We have been residents of Atria Oakridge for over a year now and it did not start out as being a very good year. Issues including staffing, management, rate increase and some residents leaving was the norm, it was not a nice time. Though Happy Hours were fun and enjoyable, the residents were not happy. But that is ancient history. Corporate Atria must of saw and heard what was happing. They brought in a new Vice President who took charge. Mingled with the residents, took notes and made the decisions necessary to right the ship. Now we have staff and management that care how we feel and our wellbeing. A total change, with new residents coming in and to sum it up for the attitude here, well at the last Town Hall meeting the topic of spoons and dishes came up. The hurt feelings, not so great service and pessimism are gone. It has been replaced with the usual comments about the food and optimism prevails. It is easy to come and see for yourself.

My mother has lived at Atria Oakridge for the last several years and without a doubt the last year has seen some challenges with management but couldn’t be any happier that we weathered the storm. There is such a wonderful atmosphere there now and the services have risen to their previous level in a short period of time. We are looking forward to many more years of seeing mom thrive in this community.

Atria is a wonderful independent living facility. super friendly staff - from the maintenance staff to the front desk and management. lots of fun activities planned for the residents and very nice holiday celebrations. the only reason we moved my mom was her need for a higher level of care. (memory care).
Our family had an in person tour and the reason we did not consider it was the management clearly did not have a handle on things.
My mother moved to this community in August. It has been one disappointment and broken promise after another. They keep losing staff. The food is not edible. Now these elderly people with walkers and wheelchairs are supposed to go to a buffet because there is not enough wait staff. There are no drivers to take her to any of her appointments as promised up front. They serve dinner on paper plates with plastic forks because they can't hire dishwashers. I would not recommend this facility to anyone who needs more than an apartment to live in.

This community is a little outdated. With covid there are a lot of activities that they cant do right now. The big things that the residents look to they cant really do right now. Also the food isn't that great at this time due to staffing issues.

Atria Oakridge has done an incredible job keeping their staff team and residents safe, anytime someone comes or goes they have to sign in/out and everyone's temperatures get taken. Our loved one seems to enjoy the food, the recently was a little transition that took place, but the food is getting much better. They do have a wide variety of activities for the residents to participate in. They have a bus service that takes them to the grocery store, their appointments, and out to lunch dates now that the restaurants have opened back up.

September 1, 2021We set a high standard for delivering quality, and it's concerning to hear about your experience. I will alert the Executive Director, and they will follow up with you to discuss your concerns. Don’t hesitate to contact us at customerservice@atriaseniorliving.com if there’s anything else I can assist with.
We chose Atria Oakridge because she just loved it from the first time that she walked in here. it is hard to judge because things are limited such as activities due to covid and she hasn't been able to socialize like normal. All of the staff here have been amazing and the value for the money is top notch compared to where she was before. They have just changed management so we are hoping things stay how they are. I would absolutely recommend to others looking.
