I would give 5 on all. They took very good care of Glenn and we had a great experience all around. Anytime we went out, there was always staff (usually several) out engaging with the residents, helping them, checking in things. You could tell staff truly liked the residents and cared about them. When he was in Denver, the staff were usually sitting around a table on their phones or laptops and I felt for a couple of them was just a job. I've forgotten his name but the maintenance guy at Aspens is wonderful too, he loves his people. My husband could be challenging at times as he had bad delusions and was always on the move. Everyone treated him with respect and kindness.... Read more

Do not be attached to your parent's clothes because they don't come back from the laundry. Things get lost even if you label them. For the most part we loved the staff. We did have a few that would not listen to our problems or concerns. We found we had two choices either push it or just let it go! If it was for my father's health we would push, but missing clothes or property was not worth the hassle. My father was well treated here and that was my main concern.

They come through for us every day. They handle everything and have everything under control. I would recommend to others.

The staff are wonderful, caring people. But things are just not getting done when it comes to cleanliness, activities, and resident care. I am hopeful that Aspens will be able to improve on those things going forward.

I really don't know about the meals as I have never been there for a meal or when he was eating. We are still working out a few issues as my loved one is still pretty independent regarding his own showering and dressing. [name removed] seems more content and is not anxious at all about being there so that tells me that he is being well cared for. At his previous place he couldn't wait to get out of it and go for a drive or come to my place. Thanks for fall your help finding a place for my brother.

Response from Aspens at Fort Collins
February 17, 2023Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a 5-star rating – it’s much appreciated! If there is anything we can do to improve, please let me know!
My loved one seems to like the food. The value for the money is okay. We picked this community because it was the only one that was available They have a good staff, that is hands-on, and deals with the residents. Management could do a better job with communicating, when we first moved in the communication was much better. I would recommend, it for those who need high-level memory care.

Aspens at Fort Collins is a very nice and clean community and this just happens to be the best place for our loved one. It is meeting all of the needs and expectations. Our loved one may not always participate in the activities but the new activities gal [name removed] has just been fantastic, we get to see all the different things she does when we come to visit .

I like the people and everyone is helpful. They seem to give info when needed on my loved one. They do laundry. My loved one spends time in the courtyard and attends concerts if they have entertainment. The staff cares for them and makes sure they are clean/dressed nicely. I am very pleased with the community. It is a convient location. In addition, they also have a salon, in which the residents can get their hair washed/cut but it is additional charges.

Aspens at Fort Collins was an extremely nice facility, but it was pretty expensive. Some of the rooms here shared a bathroom and I just did not find them as nice as another facility that we were looking into at the time.

Response from Aspens at Fort Collins
May 17, 2022Thank you for your kind review! We love finding ways to for our residents to enjoy old activities in new ways--and flower arranging in one of our favorites.
After rehab at skilled nursing facility, Dad needed a new place to live. He found a new home at The Aspens. In the month he has been there, he has comfortably settled in, is establishing a routine, and is making friends among the residents and the staff. He likes to sit in the comfortable common area with its big windows looking out at the lovely courtyard. A walk around the courtyard hallway is just enough exercise after an always good meal. We can rely on the competent, skilled, and well-trained staff to assist him kindly with care and compassion.

February 3, 2022Thank you so much for letting your dad come and stay with us! We just love having him as part of our extended family. I will pass your kind words along to our staff as well--they have really become attached to him very quickly.
My mom lives here and we love, love, love the staff that care for her. They are patient on her bad days and they have fun on her good days. I've walked in to find them laughing and reminiscing several times. I feel good that I can trust the care staff to notice any changes and do what needs to be done when I am not there. I also love that the current management take family visits seriously and have worked hard to always make visits possible.

Response from Aspens at Fort Collins
January 28, 2022Jennifer, Thank you so much for your kind review! Aspens of Fort Collins is proud to have your family joined with ours to provide your mom with exemplary care.
For the amount of money that family members pay for their loved ones to be taken care of, the attention is lacking. Our family members are bathed maybe twice a week, their teeth are brushed hardly ever. When complaints are thrown at the level staff members, they throw blame onto the family members. There is no communication between staff and family members. Our loved one has fallen several times and yet we call them to check-in. Our family member is also seen wearing clothes that do not only not belong to him, but are 2 sizes too big. The senior staff members solution to our loved one being taken care of is for us to pay extra money for outside sources to come in. They have a complete disregard for our loved one and it's completely unacceptable and unprofessional. We will not recommend this facility nor any facility that Solera represents.

This review is based when it was Windsong at Rock Creek. I chose this community because of activities offered, their daily routine, and it is a dedicated memory care community. The security was very important and good. We had some issues there, my loved one got accidentally locked in a storage room and nobody knew he was missing or for how long.. It would always take so long to find care, help, or any employees. On paper this community looked a lot better than it was.

October 19, 2020Thank you!
The attention to detail, the excellence in care and the phenomenal care that the staff displays is unparalleled! From the very first "interview" to the day we moved our father into Aspyre, and to this day, we have experienced nothing less than the best from this community. Everyone from the Executive Director and following has been helpful with each challenge presented and has offered an abundance of communication to help my father's move go smoothly. Moving a loved one into memory care is emotional, to say the least. However, the staff at Aspyre has made it one of the best experiences that we could've asked for.
