I have been living in this assisted living since year 2018. The care staff helps me with clothing, showering, toileting, and bedding. The staffs are very polite, kind, and speedy. I like that the management team does not use agency care as much as possible. The food is delicious and the service is awesome. We have many activities such as bingo, puzzles, other games, happy hour, shopping and scenic drives. I am satisfied with this facility.... Read more

We toured Anthology of Olathe; it was a good experience and first impression. They had the availability we were looking for, but we chose another community because Anthology's buy-in fee was too expensive.

We went to their Easter even and it was great and everybody has been super friendly and our loved ones seem happy. Only thing we are struggling with is the care services and having them stay on top of things and more of a follow through

Anthology is a very nice facility. It is an old hotel so it is really big and I was nervous my husband may get lost. It is so beautiful though and the staff were all friendly, it was our second choice.

We felt this facility did not offer the amount of independence my parents were looking for. Economically it was just not a good fit for them.

October 12, 2021Hello! Thank you for your review of Anthology of Olathe. We appreciate all types of feedback and welcome you to email us at customersupport@anthologyseniorliving.com so we may discuss yours further.
This was a beautiful facility, it was just to big for my loved ones. I did not feel like they would be able to handle how big the community was. It was just not the right fit for my loved ones.

September 29, 2021Joyce, thank you for your review and 5-star rating of Anthology of Olathe! We appreciate your feedback and hope you recommend us to family and friends should a need arise.
We toured with Anthology and we really liked the facility, we were just looking for a more homey atmosphere.
Don't assume anything is being taken care, just stay on top of it. The general staff is good, but management is not great. They've failed to notify us in advance of doctor appointments, so we've missed them. When we confronted them, they simply said they were sorry and they're trying to do better. We just received notice that fees are going up. I have not been very happy with them.

The apartments are huge. The whole facility is huge which I'm not sure is appropriate for my mom at this time. It was quite a hike to get from the main activity area (dining, therapies, activities, outdoor patio which was huge) to what would be her apartment. It's a refurbished Holiday Inn which at first I was skeptical of but it is really nice and they've done a great job. Except for the hallway to the individual apartments was really dark and had an old hotel vibe which I personally found creepy. But there were a lot of residents with their doors propped open who would wave as you walked by. It's right next to Olathe Medical Center which is awesome. Also right next to I-35 which I was worried about noise but I heard none when I was in the apartment model. It smelled clean so it passed the sniff test. Right now this is at or near the top of the list.

The friendliness of the staff members and their care services would be a five plus plus. The meals were not elder friendly, they were just to fancy. The nursing staff and everyone from top to bottom were very friendly and loving. You could tell they really loved their residents.

Large apartments, nice layout but small fridge. Convenient location. Building was older and a little darker and lower ceilings which was not as inviting. Staff seemed friendly. Liked that he could order food when he wanted. Liked the activities director — thought she could engage my father-in-law. Good price. Didn’t see many residents and most seemed a lot older and more infirm than my father in law.

We have had very limited experience with this community, we paid all of our fees up front, and our loved one had very server onset of dementia. He was only there for a week when we were told he needs to be sent to another facility. During that week at the new facility he came down with severe pneumonia, and had to be transferred to a third facility. He was only at the third facility for a week and then he passed away. We still have not received our loved one belongings and we just have a vast negative feeling towards Travanse .

My mom loves this community. She went originally for respite care, and went back 6 months later. My mom has now been there for 4 years. The community started out with assisted living, and as time has gone on the community is taking all types of residents. Travanse started to use an agency to help staff the community. The rooms are like a Holiday Inn rooms. The last year has seen renovations of the community. The management team keeps changing. There has also seen some turnover of other staff. This is a one rate type of community. The community will make the residents bed and do their laundry. No matter the care, the rate has stayed the same for my mom. They've had different parties to celebrate different items. The community tries to get the residents to dress up for Halloween. The community even has exercise classes for the residents to participate in. The staff has always been friendly and have helped my mom. I would recommend this community to others, even those that are in wheelchairs. The dining room is starting to open back up. They also have an independent living area that has recently opened up.

My Dad was a resident at Travanse Living in Olathe, KS. From the moment he arrived, he was made to feel welcomed and loved. From the administrative staff to the nurses, from the aids to the maintenance staff, from the housekeeping staff to food service personnel, he was treated as if he was a member of their family. We will be forever grateful to Travanse personnel for how special they made Dad feel. Thank you for all you did for him!

My father was a resident at Travanse. The care he received was exceptional. All staff members, from the chefs to the aids, from the maintenance staff to housekeeping, from the RNs to the administration treated him with so much love and respect. He blossomed and thrived while there. From the minute we walked through the front door, we could tell this facility was truly different than others we visited. My family will be forever grateful to the team at Travanse for all they did for Dad and how special they made him feel.

Very nice and clean facility for assisted living. Close to Olathe Medical. New independent living building has not been started yet. Concern about highway and ambulance noise for the new structure and lack of a view.

Had a great tour with [name removed] and [name removed]. The staff is very friendly and upbeat. The residents looked happy. The rooms were adequate in size, although the closets were quite small. The food looked appetizing, although I didn't taste it. The price is all inclusive, there is a move in fee, the cable package can be individually upgraded, the decor and ambiance of the whole place is very pleasing, there is an inner courtyard, there is more than one area to gather if families come to visit. LOVED this place, it's at the top of my list.

Being a caregiver to one of your residents was a great experience for me. [Name removed], [name removed], [name removed], [name removed], [name removed], [name removed] (housekeeping) were all very pleasant, courteous, and helpful to [name removed] and myself. As [name removed] was failing [name removed] kept me updated on her condition each day I arrived. This was so meaningful to me knowing [name removed]'s condition helped me so I could appropriately care for [name removed] during her last days. [name removed] was a super activity person in the memory care area. [name removed] and I were happy for her promotion, but we missed her interaction, positive attitude and caring nature she show each resident. All staff were always friendly, helpful and assisted me whenever I needed it. Thank you for the experience. [Name removed] RN,MSN

A Place for Mom has scored Anthology of Olathe 9.6 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
