Anam Care/ Anam Glen

My mom is always clean and well cared for. Many activities are not appropriate for individual with memory issues. Bingo is a regular activity and only a couple of residents can play without significant help. All Memory care is extremely expensive. Our experience at Anam has been mostly positive. However, I think many staff members coral benefit from continued training on effective communication with memory care.

I love the friendliness and family feel of the place. I'm not happy with how tired some of the aides seem. We chose Anam because the atmosphere was very homey, does not have a nursing home feel, could get a private room, and it's not too big, just the right size.

We are thrilled with the care our mom is receiving at Anam. We would highly recommend them to anyone with a loved one living with dementia.

I was referred to Anam Care while struggling to find quality care for my Mom who had Dementia. We scoured Chicagoland without success for the very specialized care she needed (she wasn’t the easiest patient). Rockford wouldn’t originally have been on my radar but after speaking to [name removed] (who truly listened and understood our challenges) and then touring the Home, I knew Anam Care was 100% worth the drive . The staff at Anam took such great care of Mom, where other Care facilities just didn't. The Anam staff are the most sincere, caring and respectful people who provide for their residents’ dignity. They are like a family and really work hard. Mom was given the dignity she deserved—was toileted frequently so that she was able to maintain a better quality of life—-not relegated to being bedridden and incontinent. The meals are good and activities are spot on to engage these folks. I felt relief for once and had confidence that Mom was being cared for so well. Anam was a blessing!!

Anamcare: Nice place, nice atmosphere, care seemed inadequate tho, mostly due to subpar communication on status and health of loved one. Didn’t seem well structured to report on day to day concerns and questions. Lack of overall observance of health changes. Wouldn’t recommend unless many changes are made.

My loved one lives here currently. The staff seems to be good. They call all of the residents by name, which I think is a big thing. The food is fine, they seem to serve good meals and it always smells good. I’ve got no complaints about the cleanliness. They have an exercise group, games that everyone can participate in, TVs, and programs that they invite the families to. I chose this place because I like the fact that the building is small and I like the security. People can’t just come and go as they please, they have to be buzzed in or out and I like that. I really have no complaints about this place in general.

Terrible place. They will raise your rent $500 more a month ... A lot of turnover..People are unfriendly. They would not let me visit my mom but one day..

The community Anam Care provided great services for my mother. The staff were friendly and communicated well. This place was clean and up-kept. Meals were healthy and the portions were good. During the time my mother resided here their overall services and the staff were great.

Although dad past only a few weeks he was at Anamcare, I couldn't be more pleased with our choice. BERNEY (OWNER) knew just what dad needed when we walked in. The staff was excellent and always took the time to talk with us about his needs. Thank you Anamcare

From the very first visit we felt the love. This facility offers an amazing level of care while nurturing each resident. Staff is extremely responsive and patient with all our questions and concerns.
