June 16, 2024Thank you for your review and kind words.
The facility is acceptable. There are a few positive points. Unfortunately, I have noticed that the kitchen appears to be grimy and out of date. For some reason, the food served to the residents isn’t very appealing and not real tasteful. Therefore, sadly, the residents seem to be hungry, often. This in turn, affects their daily living. It’s troubling to the residents to see staff eating takeout. What’s even more troubling is not being able to talk to corporate representatives. They don’t seem to make it past the front offices.

June 3, 2024Thank you for the time to leave us feedback. Resident satisfaction is our top priority- and food ranks high on the list. We certainly want our residents to be satisfied both in quality and quantity so know you have an open door to advocate on behalf of your loved ones. Our community leaders are interested in all feedback and residents have an open door policy as well (That includes asking for more or alternate meal choices). We will do a visit to the kitchen and send support if it is not up to the standards of our company and the health department who governs us, certainly. We hope your next visit to us is met with a higher level of satisfaction and delight. You may call our community Executive Director, Amanda, to discuss further. Kind Regards, Wellington Manor Knoxville
The Wellington Manor Staff are caring, patient, and compassionate people, making your loved ones feel right at home. Two of the RA`s took the initiative to help my ninety-seven-year-old Mother in being able to walk on her walker again. This was a great achievement as it boosted her confidence level and increased the blood flow in her feet. The Activity Director is a hands-on, creative, charismatic, and enthusiastic person getting the residents involved in all of the activities. The monthly dinner events have different themes, music, and gourmet food that bring the Staff, Residents, and families together in a safe comfortable environment. Wellington Manor offers a variety of room layouts to meet the needs of the Senior. The outdoor green grounds are beautifully manicured and have a natural flow around the buildings on several sidewalks. There is plenty of ample parking. They offer an on-site hair salon and hair stylist. We recommend that you bring your Senior family member to see it.

May 31, 2024Thank you for your kind words!
It was a lovely time but unfortunately due to it being an assisted living and in the state of TN, they are no longer able to care for my father who needs full assistance. I wished this was notified to me sooner and as his mobility got worse. Now I'm scrambling to find a nursing home that's available asap, as he's stuck in bed until we do.

May 15, 2024Thank you for taking the time to reach out. We are sorry that your loved one’s condition has required a higher level of care at this time in their journey. Please know that we take the matter with care and want to do the best by our residents that we can and sometimes that means we have to discuss higher care needs with loved ones so that their loved ones have the appropriate care and oversight for their changing needs. Thank you for trusting your loved one with us for the time they were able to live in our community. Perhaps our family Advisor could ensure you have a guide to all of the local skilled care facilities as you assess. Isis is available to share resources.
The ppl who work at AH are kind and helpful. Matthew and Alicia are wonderful. My dad tells us that the food is so good. The facility doesn't smell bad and always seems very clean. We are thankful to have our loved one safe and happy at AH.

Staff seemed willing and friendly. There were many activities. There were too many sandwiches served for inactive people. Overall I think they did a good job and I would recommend them to others.

August 2, 2023Lisa, thank you for your 5-star review of our community! We appreciate your feedback!
They seemed to be very short on staff near the end of our loved ones stay. Our main complaint was for the meals, there were too many sandwiches that were served. Most night meals were sandwiches. Inactive people don't need that much bread in their diets.

Avoid American House at all cost. The CNAs were very kind, but they were so understaffed. They can improve by: adding staff at proper levels, complying with state regulations, and hiring decent cooks and purchasing high-quality nutritious food.

Our family had an in person tour and right away when you walk in it just feels like a nursing home and we knew right away it was not going to be the place for our loved one

The staff listened to my concerns during the initial tour. It was not the usual "dog and pony show' sales pitch. The staff at American House is fantastic. The food menu needs to improve. The staff cares deeply about the well being of the residents.

February 10, 2023Thanks so much for your feedback. We appreciate you being open and honest with us.
This was an okay community. The wouldn't take my loved one due to prior medical notes from another community. It felt more of a sales pitch by the community for occupancy. The basic care needs are met.

September 23, 2022Bruce, thank you for taking the time to visit our community! We appreciate your feedback.
They have wonderful people there, it's a friendly group. The head nurse is outstanding. They do a good job with care services, and they take my loved one to meals, My loved one is not too fond of the food. They offer plenty of activies. It is very expensive. I picked this place because, I needed to find a place rapidly, and they were one of the first places that we in touch with. They got my loved one in there pretty fast, and took care of business right away.

I have recommended the community to others. The staff are good at communicating with the family if there are any changes about my loved one. The staff are super nice and friendly. They really try to assist the residents needs. The community is very clean. There are three meals a day served along with snacks for the residents. They will try and accommodate the requests if there is not something my loved one likes.
