Review for All American Assisted Living at Kingston

I would definitely recommend All American. The staff and care really deserve a 10. Unfortunately my Dad ran away and when he was found and brought back , they didn't have space in their memory care locked unit.

All American Review

I would give them a five on all counts. They have been a delight. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. My Dad has declined and they have had to help him much more than when he first arrived and it has not been a problem for them. He now has dementia and they don't have a bed in their memory care unit. They helped me find a new facility for him, he is moving there tomorrow. I would absolutely recommend All American to others.

Would not recommend for advancing dementia

My experience at the end of my Dad's time there soured everything. The contract stated they would provide 30 day notice if the resident had to go elsewhere - I was basically told one day he was being sent to the hospital and could not come back. HORRIBLE experience. The only reason they are getting a 2 for #1 and #4 instead of a 1 is because the 16 months prior to that were ok.

My Tour Experience at All American Assisted Living at Kingston

I liked the community and it was near family. They didn't have any availability when we needed it for our loved one.

tour review

Our family had an in person tour and it was a great tour experience, everyone there was very friendly but for the price it was much more expensive and there was nothing really that special that stood out to us for the price. All the amenities seemed the same as another community we looked at and the rooms were much smaller.

Tour experience

We toured with All American at Kingston and had a very nice experience. The staff were great and followed up with us promptly after the tour. For us, it just felt older and more institutional. We wanted something that would feel more like an apartment building.

Our Families Experience

They could work to improve on the quality of the meals and the timing of the meal delivery since sometimes it is served cold. They also could work to improve on their overall internal medication with the staff in regards to medication changes and relaying that information back to the families.

Friendly, Safe Place

Overall they have a great, friendly staff. They take really good care of my dad. He is safe and secure. I would absolutely recommend them to others. All these types of places are pretty expensive, but I think they give great care here.

Friendly community, food choice needs improvement

As a really big positive the staff members have been very friendly, but as a negative every time we come to visit the same food items are on their menus the the meals get pretty repetitive for the residents.

It is never an easy decision to move from your much loved and long lived in home but if you or a loved one is in need of assistance with the daily routine of living, you should consider All American at Kingston. It is a beautiful new facility with a caring and nurturing staff. It offers a positive and safe environment that makes residents and their family feel confident that they are being well cared for. Isaac, the Director, is kind and motivated. He is a thoughtful professional and is well-suited for his job. He is understanding and always available and ready to listen to any concerns that may come up. The entire staff is a dedicated and hardworking group of people. The nursing and wellness staff, the dinning room servers, the housekeepers, the administrators, physical therapists, activity director and all the behind the scene people that makes All American work, are the best. It is always very clean and comfortable and offers quality meals and twenty-four hour nursing care. Both my parent are in their 90s and have been in assisted living at Kingston since November when they opened. They have adjusted well and are always treated with dignity, respect and compassion and still have the independence they deserve. The warm and caring environment and the nurturing and professional care they get here gives our family peace of mind that they are being well cared for. I feel confident in recommending All American at Kingston to anyone looking for this type of care. Thank you to every member of the staff at All American at Kingston for the kind and diligent care my parents are receiving in this scary time of a National Pandemic. Our family has comfort in knowing that they are being well taken care of and knowing that the;y are in the best place they can be.
