Yes I would recommend. They need more outdoor time just strong outside world be so beneficial. This place along with most right now is very short staffed and work their employees to much with had resulted in staff change which isn't good for memory care patients.It's always clean in common areas but the individual rooms aren't kept as clean. Meals are generally the same weekly and bland. Limited outdoor activities due to short staff. Overall I would pick the place again.

Alexander Guest House is a great facility, we could not ask for better people. They are treating my mom like a queen and she is getting great care. I would hihgly recommend to others looking and already have.

The community itself is very nice and like a hotel setting. The people pretty much stay in their rooms except for meals. I'm not sure if this is due to activities that are supplied or if the residents just don't like to participate. At dinner they have assigned tables and switch them around so that people can make different connections. This was a good fit for our loved one because my loved one is very quiet.

I moved my 89 yr old mother to Alexander House on May 12th, 2021. She had Advanced Vascular Dementia and needed Memory Care. It was a wonderful decision. The staff was caring and responsive. They took wonderful care of her and that was not an easy undertaking at times. The staff on both sides Assisted Living and Memory Care were the best. They were all wonderful to my Mom and the nurses were just A+. All the staff rocked and helped make the move very smooth. My mom celebrated her 90th birthday on [date removed]1. It was a great day. Her health deteriorated. I made the decision to start hospice at the end of July. The staff was supportive and kind, they were with me 1000% in the coming weeks. My mother was clean and comfortable. She passed on[date removed]. Everything was handled so compassionately. Throughout her stay the staff always kept me informed and took wonderful care of my Mother. I dont think you can get much better. If I could I would give them way more than 5 stars..

We are not happy with the care services they provided, our loved one had fallen at the community before they passed. They never wanted to ask for help, because they enjoyed their independence, but when they fell they were pressing the call button and no staff came in a timely manner. That resulted in our loved one going to the hospital with a head injury and we wish we could of gone in to see our loved one at the community when they were passing.

It is cost-effective. The care is phenomenal. They offer nice rooms with their own bathrooms. The residents are checked on every two hours. The nursing staff is good, not great. The food is excellent.

We traveled up to visit with my grandparents. My grandfather asked for us to join him & set up a tour with the local Assisted Living Homes. We toured Alexander Guest House and was impressed with how they remodeled it into an assisted living. My grandfather enjoyed seeing the old photos and remembers coming to events held in the Ball Room. He is looking to make a change in the future for both of them and with Alexander offering assisted living and memory care, it would allow him to be close to my grandmother. They offered the basic furniture for us to use with no extra cost but he will prefer to bring his antiques from home that they dearly love. With the staff being so friendly and all the factors that we need, so far, this is our number 1 choice at this time.

While looking for an Assisted Living community in Oak Ridge,Tn I stopped at the Alexander Guest House. When I walked in the front door I had to ask some one if this was really an Assisted Living facility because it is not like any I have seen. It is very homey and looks like a nice hotel, which it used to be. I was given a tour of both assisted living and memory care, both are equally beautiful. I was impressed during my tour how the employees that I saw stopped and spoke to me. I spoke to a few residents who had only nice things to say about Alexander Guest House. Also, I was given a menu and an activity calendar and both looked great. I was told that the community is all inclusive in their prices and was pleasantly surprised that they were very affordable, actually their prices were lower than a lot of other assisted livings. I now just have to decide what size room I would like.

The building is absolutely beautiful. When we first walked in everyone was so friendly and they actually looked you in the eye to acknowledge you and say hello. We loved the tour and decided this would be the best place for our loved one. The staff are so caring and the nurses are very knowledgeable. It is so nice and reassuring to know that they provide 24 hour care and are always prompt in providing care to our loved one. This place is a blessing and I will recommend this place to everyone I come across needing the best for their loved one.

My sister just passed away there after about a 1 week stay. She was in the memory care unit and had we known how limited their care for advanced dememtia we would never have left her there. They always assured us that they could 'do it' but their short-handed staff didn't 'do it' and she ended up falling out of bed and passing away from her injuries 5 days later. Family had to stay at night to administer morphine and other drugs since there was no RN on the night shift. Totally misrepresent their level of care in the Memory Care Unit. Furnishings and cleanliness were ok but no bed rails, no call buttons except in bath, very small room, patient has to furnish linens, everything except bed and chest of drawers. Expensive, not equipped to handle advanced dementia as they are advertising. RN's may be shorthanded but they are also short on compassion and care of very sick patients. Medicine is never on time. Never leave loved one alone expecting them to be cared for. Don't recommend it at all.

It was in a good location. It's newly remodeled and very, very attractive. Seemed a little too quiet for my parents' taste. Fairly expensive.

We are very happy with the Alexander Guest House. The living and bath rooms are spacious. They provide a bed with mattress, two end tables with lamps, a large chest of drawers in the room. The caregivers are always courteous and friendly. This was the best move we made. One price covers everything. Mom is very happy.

I have toured and also see patients in this facility. [removed] and [removed] do a great job! They make the atmosphere feel s friendly. The staff seem very compassionate.

I thought the staff was outstanding. I’ve recommended it to my brother in law for my sister. I attended the Fiesta party and the food was outstanding. I also spoke to a former coworker. His wife is a resident there. He said he was very pleased with his wife’s care.

Very nice facility and staff. Clean and well organized, lovely atmosphere where residents seen very happy and engaged.

This community has much to give; especially to those who have given up other homes. The staff is very friendly and willing to helpful, whenever help is needs! There is a homelike atmosphere which is important to there of us who had been use to that kind of living. Also my friends and family are free to come and visit whenever they feel they would like to.

This facility appeals to the history of Oak Ridge. It reflects a nostalgic atmosphere.

I toured the community. It is decorated like old Hollywood. The staff is friendly. They have great events. The food is excellent.

Beautiful environment. [Removed] gave me a tour. It is very clean and the staff is amazing. [Removed] dad is one of their communities. I know she brags on what great he gets. She answered a lot of questions and invited me and my doctor to different events there. The residents seemed happy. The events were amazing!!
