I could not be more pleased with Woodcrest Senior home— one of my wonderful neighbors had her husband there until he passed. She always talked so highly of the owner and staff. When it was time to place my mom- I contacted A Place For Mom and they send me here to tour. Instantly I was so pleased. I then contacted my neighbor and she said it would be a great place for my mom. She has Alzheimer’s- and I am unable to give her 24/7 care. All the staff are so pleasant and have great patience with my mom. Sometimes she is a spitfire!! Lol. She gets a daily shower- which is sometimes difficult to convince Alzheimer’s patients- she wears pj looking warm-ups every day. Which is what she has worn for years so this makes my mom so happy. They get three delicious meals and several snacks/treats daily. I am telling you homemade meals— fresh baked goodies and a variety of drinks. The residents watch TV together- sing songs and do fun activities daily. I highly recommend this home!!!
Let me start of by saying I was so terrified to put my papa into a nursing home and for good reason I had him in 3 different very expensive nursing homes I would walk in and he would be so dirty and sad he wasn’t being taken care of then my daughter-inlaw found Pembroke angel care it’s a dream place it’s always clean they treat my papa like family all the residents look amazing and happy the staff is so loving I could go on for days about how amazing Pembroke is all I know is I can sleep peacefully now and my anxiety about my papa is gone because he is in the most amazing place you could put a loved one I truly can’t thank them enough for the love and compassion they show to my papa even on his worst days and that takes a true angel to do this work… with all my heart thank you for all you do!
My father, a very needy and often challenging man, was cared for most ably by the dedicated staff of this fine facility. They went above and beyond my expectations and made my father feel like he was in his own home, They treated him with the dignity and respect he deserved and made sure that he received the best of care in a friendly and compassionate setting.
