Easy to communicate and honesty are paramount. There are only approximately 8 residents there. I would recommend Sophia's Care Services to others looking.

Unity Home in Commack, NY
5.0

Unity Home has done an excellent job looking after my loved one. He is well taken care of, and really seems to have settled in nicely. I like that it is a smaller more intimate family type setting. They all eat meals together, and there is lots of individual attention for each resident. He took very well to it, and seems to be happy here!

It’s been a long journey with Alzheimer’s and I called A Place For Mom to help guide me in the process of finding placement for my Mom. It’s a very emotional and overwhelming experience to find care outside your home. My advisor was very supportive and guided me through the decision making of placement. I chose Pleasantview under the direction of [name removed] which was the best decision I’ve made for my Mom. It’s been a 15 year journey and [name removed] and her wonderful and compassionate staff eased my anxiety and concerns immediately during the interview process . On a scale of 1 to 10. The nursing care is a 10. The environment is calm and nurturing and that’s the right medicine for Alzheimer’s. I could sleep at night and The staff was always available to reach out , and my mind was at ease . It’s a very special place and they took care of my Mom like family. It’s a gem that was found for me and my Mom. I would recommend Pleasantview highly because of the care given.
