It is in a residential neighborhood which is nice. It does not look or feel like a facility. La Paula is a welcomed home in the neighborhood . The hands on director is always there and always available to answer any questions or address any concerns So far, I am very pleasedIt is a massive difference from the nursing home facility he came from.

My mother in law was only there for 2 weeks, before she passed away. The La Paula Manor facility was a bit run down, however they made up for it in every way. They were great people and they were very caring towards our loved one and family. Based on the experience we had, we would recommend this community to other families looking for a community for their loved ones.

We have had a great experience with the community. They are a smaller community which I feel fives better care to the residents and my loved one. They are very good at answering questions the family has about our loved one. They even are able to provide Zoom calls to communicate with my loved one, when I am unable to visit in person.

My father has been a resident since [date removed]. To date all is going well. If you are looking for a more home like residential setting, this is a great option. I didn't know these types of places even existed. We have experienced no issues and the staff have all been very accommodating.

This is a good community for your loved one to be placed by family. The experience has been good for our family. The staff communication with the family has been good, and the responsiveness could improve a bit. There are two meals a day served and snacks served to the residents as well.

My loved one is well cared for here. There is a lot of staff interaction with the residents, and there is a small number of residents in the community. There are less than 10 residents in the community when I visit, and there are usually 4-5 staff members on duty during the visits as well. The meals are home cooked by a professional chef. There are established meals times for the residents three times a day.

They do seem to keep my loved one busy with things to do and this was one of the most affordable places in the area and is a smaller community which makes a difference from a big complex. It is really cozy and secure and I feel like she is taken care of here and not just lost. The neighborhood is nice also and it is in a residential area with homes around it and looks just like a house.

We have very high praises for this community, especially during this past year with the pandemic. They have been very forth coming with all situations, and they are keeping all the residents safe. We would recommend this community to others.

This can't be for real! I spoke to Fernand and he made the place seem as if it was too good to be true. But, he said he had to do an assessment. OK. So we scheduled a date for him to come - a Friday. He called that day to tell me they had a great deal of snow. I really didn't see that much, but OK.. he rescheduled for 10:00AM the next day. So, I put my pooches out in the cold, mom got up early for him and we sat and waited. At 11:00 I called - he didn't even leave yet. How can I hand over Mom to a place who can't keep an appointment? No, thanks

This is a very nice community. They do a great job of keeping it clean, it always looks great. The staff have all been very friendly, and they are very helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to locating doctors and other resources in the area. The one area I feel they could improve is their activities. A bit more variety and more frequency would be nice.

I like everything about them. The only thing is that they are limited with their physical therapy and their occupational therapy and it's a little expensive. My mother seems to be happy there. She likes the food but then again, my mom will eat almost anything. She likes the people and has made some friends.

The staff is super friendly, helpful and responsive. They talk to you on all levels and really try to help in anyway. The staff even helps you schedule appointments and is really accommodating. They really make it feel like home by running it like it is a family. I did not want to put her in a nursing home and just have her lay in a bed all day, so I am very pleased with La Paula Manor. They offer lots of fun and activities. They will play the piano and even start dancing around and just have a really fun environment. They have karaoke so the staff and residents will have fun and sing along with songs. They also have an art therapist and my mom really enjoys it. They offer really good care. It is located in a nice quiet residential neighborhood with lots of trees around. The setting is really relaxing and just beautiful. The food is really nutritious and looks really good.

A Place for Mom has scored La Paula Manor 10 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
