I love Golden Care but having issue with A Place for Mom. Golden Care is great and I'm pleased, but I went on my own to the facility, not through A Place for Mom.

St. Francis Manor I in San Francisco, CA

My mother was recently there for the last two months of her life. She was not easy to care for, and I am eternally grateful to [name removed] and her staff for the loving, devoted and professional care that she got. They were very flexible with family preferences. [name removed] was also a great resource on palliative and hospice care options in the City. This home is a godsend.

Family Affair Care Home in San Bruno, CA
3.9

We chose this facility because of what they said they were offering for the price and they sounded like they could meet the needs of our loved one. The on-boarding process with Family Affair Care Home was great. Communication has been a challenge at times, this has been an issue since we need to be involved in our loved ones care. I think it is really important for you to have everything in writing as far as the cost agreement so you know exactly what you will be paying. I would tell others looking to physically go and tour and ask a lot of questions, especially who your main point of contact will be. It can be successful as long as you are clear from the start. The staff do the best that they can, but I think they need better support from the owner.
