This home is beautiful and immaculately clean. The caregivers [names removed] have a calling to provide care straight from the heart. This isn’t just a job. My father was treated like family with love, compassion, and skill. I only regret we didn’t find this facility many years earlier.

Millbrae Paradise Retirement Home
5.0

We have been very pleased with Millbrae Paradise. We chose this facility because the lady who runs the place speaks the same language my mothers does. The room sizes here are huge, she has 2 sets of drawers, a big screen tv, and a bed. I would definitely recommend them to others who are looking. It has been a great fit for her needs.

San Bruno Care Home
4.7

The gentleman I helped was there for two days before he passed away so I thought it was strange to have to pay for a whole month when he was only there for like 48 hours. I was not impressed with that. They were polite and seemed caring so that's why we chose it - there were nice people there.

Discover the many ways to pay for senior living

Planning ahead can better position you to make good choices for your loved one’s care in the future. But if your aging family member needs care now, there are ways to finance the cost of long-term care through a combination of approaches.

What are care homes?

Residential care homes are houses in residential neighborhoods that are equipped, adapted, and staffed to care for a small number of residents, usually between two and 10. Like assisted living communities, staff at care homes typically help residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and medication management. Although residential care homes vary significantly depending on the community, services usually include:

  • Help with personal care
  • Medication management
  • Mobility assistance
  • Nutritious meals
  • Social activities and outings
  • Housekeeping
  • Laundry

Learn More About Care Homes in Mountain View, CA

In the heart of Silicon Valley, where innovation meets history, lies the city of Mountain View, California. Between its eye-catching setting and unique culture, Mountain View is an ideal place for senior living.

Residential care homes — sometimes called care homes, board and care homes, group homes, or personal care homes — are often houses in residential neighborhoods that are adapted, equipped, and staffed to care for a small number of residents, usually 10 or less. Similar to assisted living but in a smaller, more residential setting, these homes provide supervision, organized events, and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs). This means care homes can help with everyday routines but typically do not provide 24-hour skilled nursing assistance.

Cost of Care Homes in Mountain View, CA

The median monthly cost of a room in a care home is around $4,000 in Mountain View, and $3,500 in the state of California. However, the cost of living in a care home depends largely on location. Since the homes are private residences, costs are tied to real estate value and therefore may vary greatly.
