This community has a number of provisions concerning food and diet which include communities must make reasonable accommodations to provide meals in a resident’s room if needed on a temporary basis, communities must make reasonable accommodations to make snacks, fruit, and beverages available when requested, communities must provide three meals a day, and menus must be reviewed and approved by a nutritionist or dietician to ensure nutritional appropriateness. This community type has a number of provisions pertaining to medication assistance. These provisions include assistance with self-administration, resident may be reminded to take his/her medication, and the dosage may be checked according to the container label.
