Memory Care
I can't say enough about the great care my husband has received at Sugar Creek. The staff provides great care with a genuine dose of love. Service & care with love is what they provide for the residents
I have never been so happy with a place in my life. Bickford was not initially my first choice. Bickford has been so helpful through the whole 9 month process of moving my mom from a rehab out of state. They have been like a second family to my mom. Just like everyone she is having a hard time with the quarantine but the staff is helpful, I have been able to surprise her at her window twice. The staff at Bickford has been amazing over all.
Overall the staff are kind, warm, and my parents have experienced many staff to be quite loving and emotionally generous. While some staff are more adept at engaging residents on the memory care unit, professional development occurs. Rooms are given a light cleaning, my mother has never been satisfied with it, though the public spaces are very clean. The meals are varied and balanced, and the cooking team solicits in person feedback from residents regularly. The activities director is on the assisted living side is fantastic! This week alone Holly Brook hosted a wedding celebration for couples from the entire facility, and a facility-wide cookout/picnic in the front with pictures and games (families were invited). The activities director on the memory care unit is unbelievably patient and plans good activities as well. As a daughter I've been very happy with the care and amenities HB offers. My parents are very well cared for. Generally I've been impressed with the staff. I don't feel I can comment on the value.... they all seem very expensive to me.
