We moved our dad here in January of this year. I have been so happy with the quality of care and cleanliness. All of the other families of the residents that I’ve met are all so kind. The food is excellent as well! I highly recommend Cumming Nursing Center for your loved one.
The place to live. I would like to take this opportunity to share information about Myrtle Terraces. I cannot tell you just how wonderful it is living here. The staff is so pleasant and will go out of their way to he!p with whatever we might need. We have quite a few functions, like pot luck dinners, we have a game room for bingo, sewing classes, art classes. We have coffee twice a week and once in awhile on a weekend we have a small get together for lunch or brunch. The bottom line is I thank God everyday for finding Myrtle Terraces to live. The residents and staff give a sense of belonging and safety. If you are thinking of living in a senior community such as Myrtle Terraces don't hesitate, it will be the best decision you will ever make.
I would say it's a great place unless the individual has dementia of any kind. Residents can just walk out any door and get lost. It was a wonderful community but my dad had dementia and with this being his first move away from family it wasn't so good for him. They said he would either need around the clock assistance or would have to move. This was after we asked several times and they "assessed" him regarding his dementia.
