My mother has been a resident at Angels Senior living in South Tampa since September 2016. During that time she has received the finest loving care I could ever have imagined. I am here nearly every day and have been grateful for so many gestures of attention that went beyond merely "doing their jobs." During hurricane Irma all the residents Were evacuated to a different angels facility. Mattresses, medicines clothing, water and food were all transferred in one day without a wrinkle. The residents were prepared during the previous week by constant discussion of the potential for a move so that none of them would be disturbed emotionally. The day of the move the owner offered to take the families as well along with their pets so I also enjoyed lovely accommodations and meals. Moreover, I needed to take my basset hound who did not have a crate. The owner said to me "no worries, we would never turn away a basset hound." My partner and I played music for the residents at the new facility during the hurricane and everyone just plain had fun. During the hurricane the director rented a car to go around during the storm and pick up some members of the staff's family and bring them to safety as well. We had electricity provided by their generators and everything we could need. The day the hurricane was over we came back to the South Tampa facility and by evening the tables were set and everyone was back in their own bed! These people are champions! Many many thanks!!!
Hudson Manor felt like a home when I walked in and I knew that I had found the right place for my father. I wanted to cry, I was so happy. Tampa General Hospital is only a few blocks away, so when dad fell they took him right there. The staff is caring and they love the residents. They feel like family. They are best available by text if you're off site, or in person. Also, the pricing is inclusive so you know what to budget for. The only negative is that I don't think that they have enough activities geared towards men. My father always worked outside and did honey-do projects, so activities along those lines would be great. However, overall, I would recommend Hudson Manor to everyone.
I have lived at The Retreat ever since they have opened. I have a third floor apartment on a corner and gives me a great View of the pool of the lake and the Beautiful grounds around me. I can give the retreat nothing but a five star rating as I plan to live here for the rest of my life. The management staff is very helpful and very very friendly. I moved here so I would not have any maintenance problems or anything that I would have to take care of myself. The maintenance staff consisting of [name removed] and [name removed] are not only efficient in there were but are so friendly and willing to help all of us residents that live here. The apartments are very soundproof and the grounds are very well kept up. If you're looking for a well maintain and friendly staff and atmosphere take a tour of the retreat and you will see that it's one of the finest around the area.
