Wesley Enhanced Living

My parents are doing great at Wesley Enhanced Living. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The building is clean and well maintained. They love the healthy food and they offer a wide variety of choices. The community offers daily activities. This community gets my recommendation.

Great people, great experience, helped me whenever I needed it.

Our family has been very happy with Wesley Enhanced Living at Stapeley. Our mother moved to the Germantown property about 18 months ago after illness and a rehab stay in a nursing home. We were concerned with her frail physical condition and confused state of mind and realized our independent mother would not be able to go back to her apartment. Stapeley offered a wonderful option. She could stay in the neighborhood where the family could easily visit and she would be in familiar surroundings. We liked the range of residential options and the friendliness and knowledge of the staff. They really helped us understand what she was going through and how best to support her. They remain an invaluable resource to the family, and gentle, respectful caretakers of the residents. Best of all was seeing her gain strength, weight and vitality. Our family is so appreciative of Stapeley's cheerful and capable staff and homey residential environment.

I transferred my great aunt to Stapeley from a nursing home in Manhattan. I was appalled by the conditions and treatment she received in Manhattan- she was malnourished and neglected. Since coming to Stapeley, she has gained over 20 pounds and moved UP a level in care, from skilled nursing to assisted living/personal care. Her improvement is due to the committed and caring staff that ensured her needs were met and didn’t give up on her just because she is in her 90s. We are grateful to have found Stapeley.

I have had a great experience at stapley. Right from the first experience of talking with Julie Flannigan on the phone I have felt at ease with my father staying there. They describe Stapley as a Bed and Breakfast atmosphere...I would definitely agree with that. They have become like an extended family and believe that they treat my father as they would their family.

My mom has been in Wesley for almost two years now. Our experience has been great. The staff at Wesley is terrific. Julie Flangan is a great asset to the Wesley family. She is always smiling, knows her residents names and is a very effective administrator. Kathy Baptiste is another administrator that does a great job. She as well knows her patients and keeps them their well being top priority. The activities provided by Wesley are well thought out and good for the residents. Picture day was a great example. All who participated were happy and seemed to feel good about themselves. The staff in general is always very helpful and take good care of their patients. I am so grateful I found your facility for my mom. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an assisted living facility.

My father joined the WEL Stapeley community just before Thanksgiving 2014. We moved him to Stapeley from a nearby care community because of the full and comprehensive range of care (personal care, memory care & skilled care) offered on a self contained campus. He was immediately welcomed by the care team and provided consistent and quality care and attention since his first day. Our family is very pleased with all aspects of Stapeley. We appreciate the professionalism of the staff and their friendly way with our father and family. He is a resident in the memory unit that is well attended and provides a very personal level of engagement in an intimate setting. With his dementia we worried about the change in environment however, the team at Stapeley assured us that they would help him as much as they could with the transition. And they have done just as they promised to do. We all feel welcomed and cared for at Stapeley.

My father has been at Stapeley since the end of July 2014. He was first in skilled nursing/short-term rehabilitation. He is now a resident in a personal care apartment. Stapeley is a true community. The staff is well-trained, concerned, dedicated, and friendly. The residents in personal care represent a real cross-section of life experiences. There are many appealing activities and programs. Having visited my father in other facilities, I can say that Stapeley is miles ahead in terms of staff, care, physical plant, and other residents. Rather than the pseudo country club atmosphere at so many retirement communities, Stapeley feels real--comfortable and casual, but with an experienced, caring staff who work together to make the residents comfortable, also safe and sound.

I am a long term resident of Germantown, in Philadelphia, and live near Stapeley - so I have appreciated it's presence and beauty in our neighborhood for years. Then my mother decided to move there from Ohio so I experienced the Stapeley services directly. From the beginning, the staff were extremely helpful. My family was inexperienced in managing this kind of transition and the staff seemed to anticipate our questions and needs. My mother chose a one-bedroom, independent living apartment; was welcomed warmly; and soon found herself comfortably adjusting to the new routine and community. And what a community! There are interesting people, a diversity of activities, lovely surroundings, and attentive staff for any needs a resident may have. The grounds are very well maintained and pretty; she likes walking in the gardens or just admiring them from her apartment balcony. My mother, our family, and I are very happy to have Stapeley in our lives!

I am here 2 months now. People are friendly and welcoming to newcomers. Activities are there for you. Being able to walk to stores & a restaurant is great for the independent person. Close to Doylestown Hospital. Transportation to nearby shopping is provided. I would recommend Wesley to my friends.

I really love Wesley Enhanced Living Upper Moreland! There has not been anything that we have not been extremely happy with. My mother at one point did complain a little about the food, but they had someone come in and talk with her to get her specific requests and preferences and they have accommodated them. My mother is active and participating in things more than I would have expected. They are really genuinely concerned about their residents and take great care of them.

Things seemed very nice at Wesley so far. Have visited twice. Like the idea of walking to shops. Staff very friendly and helpful. Many activities for me.

Stapeley is a wonderful place. From the minute we toured with the sales manager, who went out of her way to do whatever we needed, to meeting the staff in the personal care area- to us coming in for meals with my mom in the dining area--- we have had a wonderful experience. I recommend Stapeley for it's warm caring environment, cozy feeling , caring staff, very kind residents. It really is a wonderful place that makes my mom happy she made this decision to move there.

We are very pleased with Wesley Enhanced Living. The administration and staff have been wonderful. They made the adjustment period as easy as they could for not only my Mother but myself as well. My Mom has been there almost three months and is adjusting very well. She is happy and well cared for by the incredible staff. I toured a number of other facilities and this was the best by far!

She took to Stapeley right away. She met several residents and they were talked before the residents went to lunch. She loved her room and the activities that are planned.

Seem to take really care of my loved one. Check everything.

The staff are stretched really thin; however, the moral is still high. They keep a good atmosphere for the residents. The community has a lot of interesting people. The building is beautiful and is full of sunlight.

[Name removed] helped us in a heroic manner, to move our beloved parents/grandparents into Wesley Stapley in Philly, from their apartment in NYC in the midst of the Covid-19 crisis. He worked with family members, and the vendor we hired to furnish their new unit—across the country, and across generations, in the most compassionate, helpfully responsive way imaginable. The facility he manages is bright, clean and filled with sunny windows that let in natural light and park views. When he face-timed me to give me a virtual tour of the premises from my California home, I met several staff people in the hall who were friendly, warm and clearly delighted to work there. The protocols in place to ensure the health of my in-laws, and all their residents, were reassuringly stringent. My in-laws will quarantine for 2 weeks before they can come out of their new, beautiful apartment, but then I believe that they will enjoy the facilities, staff, community, activities and their lovely, newly refurbished and remodeled apartment, when the Covid19 season takes a break—hopefully by this summer. I can not recommend [name removed] or Wesley Stapley enough.
