Things are going great. Mom is really happy. There is not a problem with the building or the people or anything. Mom seems to be really happy. I think she is going to stay there. I would recommend A Place For Mom to anyone who needs help placing a loved one. You guys definitely get an A+.

My mother is glad to have Orchard Pointe taking care of her needs. The staff is friendly and she is very satisfied with her apartment. The facility is only 2 years old. She also likes the food. I would recommend Orchard Pointe to anyone needing an assisted living place to choose.

The staff at Ridgewood are very helpful and accommodating. They made the transition easy for her. Other places are the same price or more and not near as good as this facility. I like the space that she has, it's just very very nice. One thing that made her feel good is the first day down in the dining room the chef came out and told her that this wasn't just him serving and she has to eat what he serves. He told her she can have the food the way she wants it. That made her feel good because she has struggled with her appetite but that has gotten better. She has ample storage space and has given her the chance to keep seasonal items. That has really made it feel like home for her. It has been a very good experience.

At Orchard Pointe Assisted Living it helps that we had hospice involved. The staff is all very friendly. The only complaint I have is it took a little bit too long to get orders changed in the system as far as medication. Overall it has been a good experience at this facility.

I was so impressed with Heritage Pointe and the Senior Living Advisor, Amanda. With 10+ years experience in a variety of roles within the Alzheimer's community, she knows what she's talking about. There are two "neighborhoods" with 10 residents each. Rooms are the ideal size for ALZ patients and surround the active living area (so nobody can be forgotten in their room down a hall). The food is amazing! The unit manager is a RN and they have a low resident to staff ratio. There are short duration activities scheduled daily to keep the residents engaged without over-stimulation. Residents have a sense of purpose and help out with setting the tables for meals. Heritage Pointe also offers Assisted Living making it convenient for spouses to be nearby. I cannot say enough about Heritage Pointe and can't wait for my dad to move in!

They are very friendly, My mom just loves it there, The activities seem like they are age appropriate, like the big band swing dance they had. They seem very concerned about what the guest want and what they can do to improve there stay.

I met with Hannah Sacco. She was very helpful and is checking into pets as a possibility. Executive chef on premises who prepares food. Downside: on 2nd floor, back elevator. Not outside walking path unless escorted. Regular visits from minister who sings with a guitar. Mom would like that. Nice sunroom overlooking conservation area. Can take hiwY 36 all the way to North Omaha, 680 to 29.

This facility is very, very new so there's no prior information to judge operations. Nice place. Loved the fact that they have respite care, so my mom can move down to Arizona (from Utah) while her things are getting here.

BINGO! Spoke to director on the phone and found Heritage Point to be everything we wanted for our dad and within our budget. It's close to family and friends for visiting and they have many activities that dad can participate in, especially trips to the casino! We are very happy with Heritage Point and my dad really likes it, too!

Very impressed with this facility, unlike the nursing home my grandmother was in years ago! The Director was informative and answered our questions knowledgably. This is the start of our research but this is a facility I would consider putting my dad.

I love the staff here at Orchard Pointe. Although they don't clean my moms room as often I'd like, its still a very clean community and I think the residents get great meals. I am very disappointed in one of their selling points that there would be activities every hour. In fact, there really isn't ever any activities. I had to go to the director, who is new and still learning everyone. She was very nice about it and said it's one of the things she will be working on. I visited recently and mom said she got to play the drums, so obviously there is something moving forward in that regard. I think they keep my mom in her room too long, but everyone there is wonderful. I think they may be a little understaffed, but the staff that are there are very awesome. Other than a couple little things, it's a good place and my mom seems to be happy there. As long as she's happy here, I'm happy.

My 90 year old mother moved to Orchard Pointe after my father passed away and she could no longer live by herself. The facility is kept very clean; the staff goes above and beyond to ensure every need is met for her. I am impressed with the number of activities that keeps her so busy every day. My mother is very satisfied with the 3 meals a day which is served in a nice dining room with wait staff. I would encourage anyone looking for an assisted living facility to visit Orchard Pointe. I am thrilled that we found a facility where she is so happy.

We toured this community for care. We liked the cleanliness. This is a large community. We did not want a community that was big with a lot of stairs. We were happy to see the variety of a menu and the activities would have been helpful. We would suggest that families tour this community for the care of a family member.

My mother has been at Orchard Pointe Assisted Living for almost three years now. I am impressed with the staff and the care that they provide for my mother . They are friendly and courteous and are constantly looking for ways to improve the experience of their residents. There are many activities throughout the day including entertainment, exercise, shopping and event trips, movies, cards, games, educational lectures, and BINGO. Informative seminars on relevant topics are scheduled at least monthly. They also schedule activities for kids so that they can interact with the residents. They partner with a foster child organization to sponsor activities for foster children at the facility, especially during holidays. Special holiday meals for residents and their guests are provided. Guests can also eat meals with the residents at any time for a nominal fee. The staff continually solicits input from residents for meals and activities. Recent examples of changes due to resident input include expanding dining room hours to be open all day, providing an ice cream machine in the lobby, and scheduling an additional BINGO game each week. The staff encourages residents to participate in all activities and monitors and helps the residents during the activities. The maintenance staff keeps the facilities in great repair and responds to resident requests even outside of their areas of responsibility. For example maintenance personnel have assisted my mother with operating her TV remote and fixing squeaky wheels on her walker. The on site nursing staff has performed medical evaluation and given advice to my mother whenever requested. In addition, they have willingly stepped up wellness monitoring upon her returning from the hospital or when she is feeling ill. My mother rents a two bedroom unit that provides ample room for her important belongings and faces a well landscaped courtyard. One bedroom and one bedroom deluxe units are also available. I found the rental prices to be comparable to those at other facilities and feel that they are a good value considering the benefits received. Our overall experience with this facility has been excellent.

I visit Orchard Pointe regularly as a volunteer. I find the staff to be welcoming, helpful and friendly. Our church members enjoy volunteering at Orchard Pointe because there is such a wide variety of activities. The residents have so many different things to do every day at all times. It is a joy to visit and spend time with the residents in such a pleasant and inviting environment.

So far everything has been really good. The only thing she complains about is the food. She is happy, playing cards and being active. Her unit is nice, though the kitchen could be updated. The people are friendly. When we visited people were out and about in the common areas, that is one of the reasons I chose them.

We liked Orchard Pointe when we came to tour. It was one of the better places we saw. It was a bit on the larger side, we wanted something a little smaller. The facility is outstanding though.

The staff is friendly and helpful. When my mom was there the food wasn't very good. Not very much meat. A variety of other choices and healthier choices would be nice.

The light and brightness of the place appealed to me. The people milling about seemed it would be a friendly community. Also, it seemed a beautiful, safe neighborhood for my young grandkids to come for care after school and to visit me. They are welcomed, and so is my little dog. The staff treat them just like family, which I love. The activities are repetitive and leave a bit to be desired. They do NOT get us put in the community enough, but rather have fund raisers for Alzheimer's every couple of weeks instead. The food is great at times and at other times, not so good and is repetitive, too. It is food on a large scale, though, and there are about 4 choices per meal, so all in all there is nothing to complain about! They fix your meals and are very kind in serving us! I love that they clean and do laundry, bedding changes included! If you want to be social you can, if you want privacy, you may have it! The staff are the BEST and TRULY care!

Some of the lower ratings were patient fault. Patient did not choose to participate in activities and had poor appetite. Also my friend was only a resident for a few months and then required transfer to mental support area but staff was very supportive. We initially chose this facility due to the location, pleasant staff and cleanliness of the facility. Pleasant overall for short term experience. Only main concern was lack of medical supervision....more custodial than physician involvement.
