Spero Heritage in Watertown, WI
4.7

Heritage Homes is my choice for the place I call "home". It offers the amenities I value, such as central air conditioning, a parking garage that is easy to navigate in, craft room usage for my prized stash of craft materials, spacious living in square footage the size of a house, quiet home space, and privacy, privacy, privacy. Opportunities for socialization are available for me to choose or decline. Communication from administration is excellent. Respect and friendliness are abundant. Heritage Homes is regularly part of the community newspaper due to its focus on senior advocacy and connection to local living. In subjective summary, I would [removed] I left my house to live at Heritage Homes, but I did not leave my home, sweet, home.

The Waterford at West Bend
4.0

The Waterford checked all the boxes for Mom. After living alone in her own home for 40 years, she didn't know how she'd adapt to community living. She did not want to walk long halls with confusing floor plans and elevators. The Waterford is small and a single story which has made her transition great! She enjoys the staff and the friendly atmosphere. It is a great place for her which she quickly considered her home!

ProHealth Regency Senior Communities - Brookfield

It is now a Capri community. There are changes in the staff that have occurred but the quality remains stable. The staffing could improve internal communication.

Nursing Homes

A nursing home is a building that provides housing to at least two individuals who are not related by blood or by marriage to the administrator. A nursing home facility offers its residents 24-hour care administered by registered nurses. These nurses offer care for seniors who cannot take care of themselves.

Nursing homes are a helpful and comfortable living alternative for individuals 65 years or older, however nursing homes will frequently allow access to persons 55 and above which is unusual for other senior care types.A significant amount of inhabitants are bachelors or widows who have circles of support, and about half of nursing home residents are older than the age of 85. Often times individuals may select to live in a nursing home over another type of facility due to a physical or mental impairment that prevents them from easily accomplishing the activities of daily living. The most frequent mental disease experienced by residents of nursing homes is dementia, which can hinder their and familiarity, memory recall, and decision making capacities. Types of amenities and servicesoffered at nursing homes might include intravenous or nutrition therapy, senior centers, home care (like cooking, cleaning, or help with other daily activities), and adult day services .
