Having to find placement for a loved one was a "Daunting" task. We looked at many options elsewhere and were mortified by what we saw! There entire staff have been exceptional! Kind, caring, and professional! we can clearly see their excellence..... They go above and beyond. Food, fantastic! They were kind enough to arrange a surprise birthday party for our loved one. Beautiful garden! We show up at anytime and it's always great, no hidden anything .

Seaton Hagerstown
4.8

I've only been to Seaton Hagerstown a couple times, but my brother seems to like it there. Everybody there, including the residents, seems friendly. My brother is very friendly and has talked to just about everyone he sees. He says some people respond and some don't. Some people don't want to talk I assume, but he's made friends with several people in his vicinity that he goes down to have dinner with. One of the things he said when I first visited was, "I really like it here, I don't want to leave". I think he felt more at ease there as opposed to his previous living situations. I like that they lock the doors and you need a passcode to get in. That provides a sense of security knowing that the residents can't leave. He has a window view and enjoys seeing the cats outside. I'm pleased with them and compared to other communities we saw, I think that Seaton is the best fit for him. Although he has some memory complications, he seems content there.

Somerford House and Place Hagerstown
4.0

We chose Somerford House and Place Hagerstown because of the location of the facility, we liked their memory care unit, and the price of the facility compared to others that we looked at. I would recommend this facility to others.

The leadership team is wonderful. A few CNAs perform their job well, but for some, I am daily writing notes for tasks that were not accomplished. Some sanitary issues are not followed for my mother's care....
