The staff are so nice and friendly! Very caring and take great care of my uncle! They are always smiling and take such good care of my auntie [name removed]! She enjoys BINGO and their BBQ days! She likes her room just wants a better view! I would recommend this building to anyone in the Mt Pleasant area!

Green Acres of Mt. Pleasant in Mount Pleasant, MI
4.5

My mother lived in the memory care unit here and we had a great overall experience with them. I was a little concerned with the level of attentiveness of the staff at times. For example, she needs someone to provide water/drinks for her and give her the initiative to drink it, otherwise she will go without. At times she was a bit dehydrated. Otherwise, the community is fabulous! It is very nice, open, and colorful with lots of windows -- a great atmosphere. It is not drab or hospital-like at all. It is a relatively new community, so they are still growing. I would say it would be a great place to go!

Riverdale, Michigan

Nursing Homes

A nursing home provides room and board to at least two seniors who have no family ties to the administrator. A nursing home community provides its residents with care administered by on-site nurses. These nurses offer care for people who are unable to take care of their own needs because of their aging.

Nursing homes can be a familiar and easy living choice for persons 65 years or older, however nursing homes will frequently admit persons 55 and above which is uncommon for other senior care types.Nursing homes are required to provide pharmaceutical services, nursing and related services, dietary services, and emergency dental services to residents. A large number of nursing home occupants are persons who experience difficulty with hearing and seeing, require assistance with daily tasks such as getting dressed, have incontinence issues, or have a physical or mental disability. As a resident of a nursing home, you can expect the right to get information on services and fees, spend time with visitors, be free from discrimination, and get proper privacy, property, and living arrangements. Many residents of nursing homes might have behavioral difficulties, which can consist of resisting care, a tendency to wander, or verbal outbursts. Types of care services and amenitiesprovided at nursing homes might include social and recreational activities, personal care (including dressing, bathing, and toilet assistance), rehabilitation needed due to injury, disability, or illness, and injections.
