Overall we are pretty happy with the activities and overall value -it is expensive but it is comparable to other communities in the area and yet were far superior in what they offer. We have already recommended Hampton Manor to families and will continue to do so
My sister loves it there and is living her best life. The entire building is kept very clean. The staff are all friendly and are like family and go out if their way to accommodate everyone. All are cared for like family. Meals are good and friendly atmosphere. Lots of activities and events. The value of cost is good. Thank you to Brookdale, a job well done !
My mother does not require a lot of "hands on" care at present. I don't have enough knowledge of what alternative offerings might be when it comes to the activities. The value for cost seems high but apparently in-line with other facilities in this area. However we would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

My parents were there on a respite stay. So it was nice to not have to bring furniture. I think the services were different for respite stay versus permanent stay.

Nursing homes, also called skilled nursing facilities, provide long-term care for seniors with significant physical or mental health conditions, and short-term care to people recovering from an injury or hospital stay. Nursing homes provide personal assistance and medical care from licensed professionals. Services in skilled nursing facilities often include:
A nursing home community provides lodging to two or more individuals who have no family ties to the administrator. This type of residence provides its inhabitants with 24-hour care administered by registered nurses. These nurses offer healthcare services for those who are unable to care for their needs.
This type of community is a convenient and comfortable living option for persons 65 years and above, however nursing homes will often individuals 55 and greater (a rarity in the realm of senior care).A large number of inhabitants are bachelors or widows who have circles of support, and about fifty percent of nursing home residents are older than 85 years old. Examples of amenities and servicesprovided at nursing homes might include help with shopping and transportation, adult day health care (which offers nursing and therapy) , intravenous or nutrition therapy, and home care (like cooking, cleaning, or help with other daily activities). Often times seniors may select to live in a nursing home over another type of community due to a physical or mental impairment that makes it difficult for them to accomplish their standard of living. Nursing homes are required to provide routine personal hygiene items, emergency dental services, room and bed maintenance services, and specialized rehabilitative services (treatment for mental illness or intellectual disability) to residents. The most common mental issue effecting residents of nursing homes is dementia, which can hinder their decision making capabilities, and familiarity, and memory function.
