They did try to take good care of my loved one. They offered daily activities and the community was clean. The food was good. My loved one was only there for a short time as we realized he needed more care than they were able to provide. They oversold themselves on the care that was available. They gave out incorrect information in regard to some programs that may have been available. I would recommend asking about the security at this community.
So far it has been a great fit for my mom at the Stroudwater Lodge. It is a new and beautiful community. It is the first one we toured and it had everything we needed. It is very convenient for my mom to get to her nearby Dr. appointments. Most of the time the communication is pretty good with staff members when I have questions or concerns regarding my mom's care needs. The staff takes good care of her and her care needs. The food is well-balanced but mom has special dietary needs and they are working with me so that she can get the proper nutrition. At this time mom is not able to participate in activities, but there is a resident nearby that they have become friends due to a shared family member. I would recommend Stroudwater Lodge to friends and family.
I say it all the time... we love it. The staff seem to love working together and with the residents... it's the first thing I saw and keep seeing still. They are fun and incredibly accommodating. Because we saw the employees laughing with one another, I sensed that finding and keeping employees wasn't an issue, and it doesn't appear to be still. They don't seem to spend money on all the bells and whistles that the others have, which may be why it's so affordable. I chose it before I knew the price and when I found out it was cheaper than the others, I was floored. And that price also includes his depends! It's amazing. They also have a secure outdoor courtyard for the memory care people, which I appreciate.
