The apartments are a nice size and they are kept clean. The common areas are clean and comfortable. There are plenty of daily activities for anyone interested and it's a good way to get to know other residents. The staff is caring and very helpful and ready to assist in any way. Nursing Homes

A nursing home is a community that houses two or more seniors who have no personal ties to the administrator. A nursing home community offers its residents around-the-clock care administered by registered nurses. These caregivers offer care for people who are unable to adequately care for their own needs due to the effects of aging.

This type of community is a convenient and comfy living choice for individuals 65 years or older, however nursing homes will commonly take in persons 55 and above (a rarity in the world of senior care).A large number of residents tend to be single women who have circles of support, and almost half of nursing home residents are over the age of 85. Nursing homes are required to provide emergency dental services, routine personal hygiene items, medically-related social services, and specialized rehabilitative services (treatment for mental illness or intellectual disability) to residents. The most frequent mental disease effecting residents of nursing homes is dementia, which can cloud their and familiarity, memory function, and decision making capacities. Some services come at an extra cost which can include a private room, unless medically needed, flowers and plants, and special care services not included in the community’s Medicaid payment. Many occupants of nursing homes may have behavioral problems, which can consist of a tendency to wander, verbal outbursts, or resisting care.
