Independent Living

If you would benefit from the peace of mind of having your housekeeping managed while living at your own pace, you might want to consider an Independent Living Community. Frequent needs such as meal planning and housekeeping are taken care of, allowing seniors more opportunities to live active lives as they desire. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy an opportunity to be among peers, in a community with others of similar ages and interests. Typically comprised of a private living area and a full kitchen, these communities offer residences with many of the amenities of apartment life but with none of the hassle. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and more time can be spent with them with the basic maintenance of daily tasks out of the way. While policies vary between locations, many residences allow cats and dogs as well. If medical or nursing support is desired, residents may always utilize the services of independent health care professionalls. There are an assortment of advantages and expenditures to keep in mind while choosing an independent living community. It is important to learn if these amenities are covered in your care plan: field trips, utilities, meals, private phone, initial assessment fee, wellness program, cable TV, and housekeeping. The conveniences that pertain to independent living include fitness center & swimming pool, beauty salon & barber shop, community activities, healthcare center, private rental hall, game/TV room, laundry service, and transportation.
