Upon visiting Dogwood Bend on multiple occasions I observed that the atmosphere of this community is pleasant and clean. There has always been someone to greet me at the door each time. Everyone at Dogwood Bend keeps a smile on their face and was very approachable which also allows the morale of this community to be high. The staff is always prepared to help a resident and/or visitor when there is a question or concern. Overall, Dogwood Bend is a home away from home and I would recommend anyone looking for an assisted living facility here.
In the bustling rhythm of our daily lives, we often find ourselves in a whirlwind of responsibilities and commitments. Amidst this, some unsung heroes bring peace and stability to our world – the dedicated team at Hometown Manor, where my father resides in assisted living. I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude and admiration for the incredible staff. Your commitment to caring for and genuinely enriching the lives of those you look after is nothing short of inspiring. You ensure that my father's room is more than just a space – it's a home, kept clean and comfortable. From the meals you prepare, the smiles and kindness mean more to family than you probably know. Big heart thank you Your work may seem thankless sometime, but please know that it doesn't go unnoticed. You are not just staff; you are guardians, friends, and extended family. Your dedication is a source of comfort not only to the residents but to us, their families, who rest easier knowing you are there
The Jubliee was a far better place than the Nursing Home we came from. The Nursing Home was only interested in money and how they could make sure we stayed with them. They let him fall several times and did not report immediately to me. I believe they wanted him hurt so there was no choice for us but to leave him with them. My only concern about the Jubilee was not in their control I believe. They like a lot of places got short staffed and that did affect his care. I'd say one way to help with this is to be honest with the families and see if they have family or people that can help from time to time with their own family. I did this because I saw the need . It would have been nice to have been asked. I was thanked by the staff for helping. Also, in the end we got Hospice to come in and help. Most families do not know that Hospice is an option for six months to a year of a person passing away. I wished we would have known because we would have used them to help at the Jubliee before we did.
