Types of care available in Hays, KS
My sister lived at River Bend for almost 4 years and recently passed away there. The staff and administration are the most caring and compassionate people I have ever met. My sister absolutely loved living here and loved the food as well! They were always so helpful when we had questions and very accommodating when we came to visit. We will definitely miss all the staff that we have come to know so well and highly recommend River Bend to anyone looking for a nice, clean facility with loving staff members who actually care!
The community is understaffed at night. [Name removed] the DON is terrific. Good communication good follow through. They are overpriced for the staffing, it's a shame corporate medicine has turned elder care into. The meals are three a day. I think they bring a snack car around in the afternoon but it's limited with process package food. Also, drinks are limited. They really should provide coffee, tea, ice, water, and possibly diet soda like at all times.
This is a nice place for your loved one. They have a good atmosphere here. The staff are easy to work with if the family has any questions or concerns about our loved one. The community was able to provide medication distribution, dressing and bathing assistance as some of the care types available.
