A very loving and caring staff. The food was very tasty and well prepared. My wife was only a resident for eleven days but she was treated very well. I would highly recommend this facility.
The staff was very caring, and kept us well up to date on our Mom. They were very caring and accommodating while our Mother was on hospice as well. I would recommend Kinship Pointe Wayne to other families looking.
We needed a place for my dad on short notice and Floyd Place was helpful in expediting that process. Although COVID-19 is an issue for everyone at this point, the staff are all taking proper precautions with all residents and finding ways, within the CDC rulings, to have the family visit. The staff at Floyd Place are extremely friendly and supportive of both the residents and their families. We, the family, are informed about events, new CDC protocols, and so forth. My dad calls me every night to report how his day went and he starts by reporting the pleasant manner of the staff, especially [names removed] and the quality nursing staff. He then describes his interactions with his cohorts at the Floyd Place, which is highly beneficial to have people you can relate to that are close to your own age. He is a military veteran and there are others with this same experience so they can share stories. He then proceeds to tell me what he had for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and what he chose on the menu for the next day. He loves having these food choices and tells me the chef cooks delicious meals! Thank you to the staff at Floyd Place for offering a special place for my dad.

Nursing homes, also called skilled nursing facilities, provide long-term care for seniors with significant physical or mental health conditions, and short-term care to people recovering from an injury or hospital stay. Nursing homes provide personal assistance and medical care from licensed professionals. Services in skilled nursing facilities often include:
A nursing home is an establishment that provides residence to at least two persons who have no family relation to the administrator. A nursing home community provides its occupants with around-the-clock care by on-site nurses. These caregivers provide healthcare services for those who cannot properly care for themselves because of their aging.
Nursing homes can be a helpful and easy living alternative for persons 65 years and above, however nursing homes will commonly accept persons 55 and older rarely heard of in senior care regarding alternate care types. The most common mental issue effecting nursing home residents is dementia, which can cloud their decision making capacities, and their sense of familiarity with their surroundings, and memory recall. Nursing homes are required to provide pharmaceutical services, specialized rehabilitative services (treatment for mental illness or intellectual disability), a professionallly directed program of activities, and dietary services to residents. Many occupants of nursing homes may have behavioral difficulties, which can consist of resisting care, verbal outbursts, or a tendency to wander. A significant amount of inhabitants are single women with smaller social support groups, and almost 50% of nursing home residents are over the age of 85. A large number of nursing home occupants are persons who require assistance with daily tasks such as bathing, have incontinence issues, experience difficulty seeing and hearing, or have mental or physical disabilities.
