The staff is very easy to work with. They treat our father with respect and seem to really care about him. We can call anytime and get any questions answered. His room is always clean. We had his 90th birthday family party at the facility, which worked out wonderfully. We would definitely recommend Boyson Heights.
I would recommend if the person had severe dementia, they are very friendly the only complaint she has is that the food is not very good.
The facility is beautiful and very clean and Mom receives excellent care from the friendly staff. Mom is in a one bedroom and it's the perfect size for her, spacious but not so large that she has trouble getting from room to room. The amenities in the apartment are excellent including a full sized kitchen.

Nursing homes, also called skilled nursing facilities, provide long-term care for seniors with significant physical or mental health conditions, and short-term care to people recovering from an injury or hospital stay. Nursing homes provide personal assistance and medical care from licensed professionals. Services in skilled nursing facilities often include:
A nursing home community provides room and board to two or more persons who are not related by blood or by marriage to the administrator. A nursing home community offers its occupants around-the-clock care administered by registered nurses. These caregivers provide health related services for seniors who cannot adequately care for themselves.
This type of community is a familiar and comfy living choice for individuals 65 years or older, however nursing homes will take in individuals 55 and greater (a rarity in the realm of senior care). Many occupants of nursing homes are individuals with behavioral problems, which can encompass verbal antagonism, resisting assistance, or experiencing a desire to wander. As a resident of a nursing home, you can expect the right to spend time with visitors, form or participate in resident groups, be free from restraints, and have protections against involuntary transfer or discharge. Many inhabitants tend to be single women with circles of support, and almost fifty percent of nursing home residents are over 85 years old. Nursing homes are required to provide medically-related social services, nursing and related services, room and bed maintenance services, and pharmaceutical services to residents. Examples of care services and amenities provided at nursing homes can include senior centers, monitoring serious illness and unstable health status, help with shopping and transportation, and injections.
