Recent reviews of Nursing Homes in Hot Springs Village, AR
West Shores in Hot Springs, AR
5.0

Our two-bedroom apartment is well-designed and spacious. The nurses and other staff are friendly and attentive. Any problem that arises is taken care of quickly and effectively. Meals are usually quite good, and on special days (Mothers' Day, Fathers' Day, etc.) they are exceptional! There is a variety of activities for those who wish to participate. Since my wife and I are still mobile, we especially appreciate the weekly bus trips to eat out and visit museums and special sights such as Petit Jean Mountain, the Grant County Museum, Oaklawn Casino, Bathhouse Row, and others. We have been here for a year and a half, and we hope to be able to spend many more years enjoying the people and facilities at West Shores.

Brookfield Hot Springs
4.8

Brookfield is a very pleasant place with very caring staff. They have been extremely helpful in many different ways: transportation to medical appointments and provision of information to name a couple. The medical professional on staff are very nice and helpful also. I picked this facility due to its location (near other resources), they have both Assisted living and Memory care, and for the cost.

Garrett Woods in Hot Springs, AR

What really stood out to us right away about Garrett Woods is their staff - they are extremely friendly and have been very easy to work with since day one. Based on the experience we have had so far we would recommend this community to other families looking for a place for themselves or their loved ones.

Nursing Homes

A nursing home is a complex that offers lodging to at least two seniors who are not related by blood or by marriage to the administrator. A nursing home community provides its occupants with around-the-clock care administered by registered nurses. These caregivers offer healthcare services for seniors who cannot care for their needs.

This type of community is a helpful and comfortable living alternative for individuals 65 years or older, however nursing homes will frequently admit individuals 55 and older which is unusual for other senior care types. Nursing homes are required to provide pharmaceutical services, specialized rehabilitative services (treatment for mental illness or intellectual disability), room and bed maintenance services, and a professionallly directed program of activities to residents. The most common mental disease effecting residents of nursing homes is dementia, which can hinder their decision making capacities, memory function, and and familiarity with their surroundings. As a resident of a nursing home, you can expect the right to be free from restraints, be free from abuse and neglect, get proper medical care, and get information on services and fees. Often times seniors might prefer life in a nursing home over another type of community due to a mental or physical impairment that makes it difficult for them to accomplish their standard of living. Many occupants of nursing homes may have behavioral issues. These can consist of resisting care, verbal outbursts, or a tendency to wander.
