It's a very nice place for someone with dementia, which my aunt had. My uncle died within a week of arriving there and my aunt fell about 2 months later and fractured her hip, so she left there and passed away in a rehab facility post surgery. I really appreciated A Place for Mom's help in finding a place.
After being at another assisted living facility we found The John M. Reed Center. My mom felt very much at home here and was very well taken care of. She called it "home." My mom loved the food that was served and the dietary staff asked her if she has special requests. The staff seemed to love and care for my mother. I will always be thankful for that. I will always be thankful for that. I highly recommend The John M. Reed Center!
A 3 week stay at the facility in a 1 bedroom apartment that included a stove and refrigerator has reinforced my decision to relocate here. A major disappoint was lack of activities geared to independent residents but having my own vehicle should allow involvement in offerings by other venues in the area such as senior center, college, drama groups, etc. If someone is interested in this beautiful area of Eastern Tennessee should investigate Regency.
