AVIVA River Bend in Rochester, MN

We liked the lay out of the apartments. Easy for handicap to get around. It is owned by an investment firm. Suck seniors dry. Staff very friendly and trying to do their best. You can always get a hamburger, which is good, if you don't like what they serve. It's an example of rich getting richer and sucking middle class poor.

My mother found her assisted living experience at Prairie Meadows great. The staff gave my mother excellent care and was very responsive to her needs. The compassionate and skilled care she received was accomplished during the height of the COVID pandemic.

Independent Living

If you would like the peace of mind of having your chores managed while living at your own pace, you might want to consider independent living. Meals, leisure activities and housekeeping duties are taken care of while you are unrestricted to use your time as you wish. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to live among peers, surrounded by others of similar age groups and backgrounds. Residents’ quarters consist of a private living space with their own kitchen. The independence of apartment life is still enjoyed, offering an opportunity to socialize with guests and visitors in a private and personal setting. While policies vary between locations, a number of residences allow cats and dogs as well. If residents decide they would like to employ the services of private health care providers, they always have the option. There are an assortment of costs and benefits to consider when selecting an independent living community. It is important to learn if these amenities are covered in the plan: private phone, utilities, wellness program, laundry, meals, transportation, field trips, and parking. The benefits and amenities that pertain to independent living include community activities, beauty salon & barber shop, fitness center & swimming pool, healthcare center, laundry service, transportation, restaurant-style dining hall, and security guards.
