We liked the lay out of the apartments. Easy for handicap to get around. It is owned by an investment firm. Suck seniors dry. Staff very friendly and trying to do their best. You can always get a hamburger, which is good, if you don't like what they serve. It's an example of rich getting richer and sucking middle class poor.

My mother found her assisted living experience at Prairie Meadows great. The staff gave my mother excellent care and was very responsive to her needs. The compassionate and skilled care she received was accomplished during the height of the COVID pandemic.

Complete guide to independent living

Kasson, Minnesota

Independent Living

An Independent Living Community permits residents the ability to live an active lifestyle while making sure their basic needs have been fulfilled. Meals, recreational activities and housekeeping chores are handled for you while you are unrestricted to use your time as you desire. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to be among peers, surrounded by others of similar age groups and interests. Typically consisting of a private living area and a full kitchen, these communities offer residences with many of the amenities of apartment life but with none of the hassle. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and there will be more time to spend with them with the basic maintenance of daily chores out of the way. While policies vary between locations, numerous residences allow cats and dogs as well. If residents decide they would like to employ the services of private medical providers, they may always do so. There are an assortment of costs and benefits to balance when deciding on an independent living community. It is important to determine if these amenities are included in the care plan: utilities, private phone, wellness program, initial assessment fee, move-in fee, transportation, meals, and internet access. The benefits that pertain to independent living include healthcare center, private rental hall, fitness center & swimming pool, beauty salon & barber shop, golf course, transportation, security guards, and concierge services.
