Cedarbrook Village at Ware

Welcoming front desk staff. Executive Director and marketing staff all pleasant and helpful. Answered all of our questions. Provided lots of details for us to consider. All the staff have smiles on their faces when they are working! Very helpful to residents and their families. Extremely clean and well maintained facility. Bright and up to date environment. Wish we made the move sooner.

It's a great place but it is so over the top expensive. I don't know how anyone can afford it for long and you really never know how long. Staff are great and the activities are fun.

The biggest area for improvement is the food. I understand that the chefs cook a low sodium and low sugar diet, but there is hardly any variety. And the food is incredibly bland. We drop off home-cooked meals or do Uber eats to my grandfather. The staff is all super kind. They seem to know all of the residents by name and they always speak to my grandfather. Anytime they see him in passing. They manage his medication as well and keep us up-to-date. He has had some recent health issues over the last 12 months that have required him to go to the hospital and the nurses always make sure they give us a full report before they send him.

Independent Living

For those who would like to live primarily without assistance but would like the assistance of having their household chores maintained by professionalls, an Independent Living Community might be the perfect fit. Frequent needs such as housekeeping and meal planning are taken care of, which permits occupants more free time to live life as they wish. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy an opportunity to live among peers, surrounded by others of similar ages and backgrounds. Typically comprised of a private living area and a full kitchen, these communities offer residences with many of the amenities of apartment life but with none of the hassle. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and more time can be spent with them with the basic maintenance of daily tasks out of the way. While policies vary between communities, numerous residences allow cats and dogs as well. If medical or nursing support is desired, residents may always enlist the services of private care providers. There are a variety of benefits and expenses to consider while determining an independent living community. It is important to learn if these amenities are included in your care plan: Waiting list deposit, transportation, laundry, initial assessment fee, move-in fee, meals, cable TV, and parking. The benefits associated with independent living include laundry service, restaurant-style dining hall, fitness center & swimming pool, community activities, security guards, golf course, concierge services, and transportation.
