It's a pretty good place. Ifel like, we got our moneys worth. My loved one is in the memory care unit, and they went from six to ten residents, which is still a pretty small group. They do a pretty good job, for what they have to deal with, especially since it's dementia patients. I am very impressed at how they do their job. Overall, I would highly recommend this place.

Complete guide to independent living

West Union, Iowa

Independent Living

An Independent Living Community allows residents the ability to live their active lives while ensuring their basic needs have been fulfilled. Basic needs such as meal preparation and housekeeping are handled by staff and a calendar of recreational and leisure activities is provided, allowing residents an opportunity to use their time as they choose, free from daily obligations. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to live among peers, surrounded by others of similar age groups and backgrounds. Typically consisting of a private living space and a full kitchen, these communities offer homes with many of the amenities of apartment life but with none of the hassle. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and there will be more time to spend with them with the basic maintenance of daily chores out of the way. While policies differ between communities, numerous residences allow pets as well. Nursing and health care services can always be arranged for with private care providers as desired. There are an assortment of expenditures and advantages to balance while deciding on an independent living community. It is important to learn if these services are covered in the care plan: transportation, field trips, cable TV, private phone, parking, meals, internet access, and utilities. The conveniences that pertain to independent living include laundry service, fitness center & swimming pool, community activities, concierge services, golf course, security guards, transportation, and healthcare center.
