Staff are very kind and professional. The only things that we felt was not great. Food. They served cold plates a lot. The pricing went up several times. A couple months after they got there they were being charged for meals. Meals were not being charged when they first moved in. When Mom needed memory care they took wonderful care of them. Mom enjoyed being in the common area just watching and listening to everyone. After Mom passed they made sure to invite Dad to all there activities. He didn't feel like going a lot of the time. The facility and staff are wonderful. Our problem came with getting my parents to reach out to them when they needed something. They are to used to doing for themselves. Staff has been very good at checking in and encouraging them to ask for help when they need it. They raised prices a couple months after they got moved in. I understand cost are rising. But kind of messed up the budget.

Response from Garden View Place
March 3, 2023We are certainly lucky to have such incredible staff caring for our residents! We thank you very much for your kind review.
If you're local this is the place to go. The location is good to be able to visit my loved one often. The staff communication with the family is good. There are three meals a day served to the residents. Some of the activities include: books, movies, singing, outside gardening, and more for the residents to participate in.

A Place for Mom has scored Garden View Place 7.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
