I was a little disappointed in the rent increase after one year. It was about 16.5%. The quality of care, friendliness, and cleaniness is amazing. The activities could use some improvement.

The Landing of Bogart
4.9

We are thankful for the supportive community at The Landing of Bogart. The staff is caring and attentive and helpful to our mom and dad every day. They bring their compassion to their positions as care team members. My siblings and I are actively involved in our parents' care. We chose the LoB carefully and intentionally. We have much peace and confidence knowing that Mom and Dad are in a safe and loving community while we are not with them. All aging individuals want to be "home." The Landing of Bogart gives the tender loving care we all know to be "home." It is a blessing for our family.

Magnolia Estates of Oconee in Bogart, GA
5.0

When my husband and I moved to the Athens area, we needed a retirement living facility for my dad. Magnolia Estates was recommended to us by friends whose mother had previously been a resident. We visited and were very impressed with the facility and the staff. We chose Magnolia Estates and have not one regret! My dad’s needs were more than met with care, respect and attentiveness. My dad grew to love several of the staff who cared for him and developed meaningful friendships with them and several of the residents. Magnolia Estates is lovely, clean, well maintained and the kitchen staff makes wonderful meals!!! Every April they host a family day and provide the best smoked chicken (Thank you [Name removed]) and several sides. Family members bring a covered dish and have a wonderful day celebrating our loved ones. A Christmas party is also planned for immediate family members with singing, Santa Clause giving a present to each resident and festive food. Great memories were made at Magnolia Estates - which dad referred to as “home”. Thank you [Name removed] and staff members for making my dad’s stay with y’all so happy and memorable! We miss him and miss your smiling, friendly, caring faces! We wish you continued success in providing an excellent senior living facility! [Name removed]

Winterville, Georgia

Independent Living

Many seniors may be able to live without assistance, but the cost burden of home ownership might deter them from an independent lifestyle. Independent Living Communities provide a solid solution to this situation. Food preparation, leisure activities and housekeeping responsibilities are taken care of while you are free to use your time as you wish. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to live among peers, in a community with others of similar ages and interests. Residents’ quarters consist of private living spaces, each with their own kitchen. The independence of apartment life is still enjoyed, offering opportunities to socialize with guests and visitors in a private and personal setting. While policies vary between locations, numerous residences allow cats and dogs as well. If residents decide they would like to utilize the services of independent medical professionalls, they always have the option. There are a number of benefits and expenses to keep in mind while determining an independent living community. It is important to learn if these amenities are covered in your plan: field trips, wellness program, meals, internet access, laundry, private phone, Waiting list deposit, and transportation. The benefits that pertain to independent living include game/TV room, laundry service, fitness center & swimming pool, transportation, healthcare center, security guards, golf course, and beauty salon & barber shop.
