This is a place I would recommend you check out for your loved one. The staff are wonderful and friendly to work with. The staff communication has been great with the family. There are three meals a day served to the residents, and it is a dining room. If the resident doesn't like what is being served the staff are willing to accommodate a request made by the resident.

Having only been in this community 2 months. I can only tell you this because of Covid, the place has been more or less shut down. I do not feel I can fairly make a positive review since our time is mostly spent in one apartment. I feel communications is not up to par. A weekly report would be much appriciated.

Camilla, Georgia

Independent Living

Independent Living Communities provide individuals with a harmony between an opportunity to live an independent lifestyle and not having to concern themselves with housekeeping. Basic tasks such as meal preparation and housekeeping are handled by staff and a calendar of recreational and social activities is provided, allowing residents the autonomy to use their time as they see fit, free from daily obligations. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy an opportunity to be among peers, in a community with others of similar age groups and interests. Typically consisting of a private living space and a full kitchen, these communities offer homes with many of the amenities of apartment life but without the hassle. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and more time can be spent with them with the basic maintenance of daily tasks out of the way. While policies differ between communities, a number of residences allow pets as well. Nursing and health care services may always be arranged for with private care providers as desired. There are a number of expenses and advantages to consider when selecting an independent living community. It is important to figure out if these amenities are covered in your care plan: housekeeping, Waiting list deposit, cable TV, parking, wellness program, initial assessment fee, move-in fee, and utilities. The benefits and amenities that pertain to independent living include community activities, restaurant-style dining hall, private rental hall, security guards, golf course, fitness center & swimming pool, game/TV room, and beauty salon & barber shop.
